My headmaster in junior school loved Paul Robeson (and others) and would play music to us in assembly on Friday mornings for ages, making a very short morning for lessons. Happy days!
The Corrie writers certainly have no respect for Christianity, but I'm not sure about Islam - they've Mary-Sued Alya and Yasmeen (was autocorrected to Has been 😁) in many ways, but I wonder how Moslems feel about them being portrayed drinking alcohol, living with partners without being married etc. Perhaps there are Moslem soap watchers out there who can tell us?
