I honestly don't see the issue with aidens jacket

The uninterested waiter got more screen time than Aidan. They’re definitely trying to cram too much in. The five minutes we spent watching Seema get bitchy at a receptionist could have been used to actually show the connection between Carrie and Aidan. The time spent watching Nya eat dessert could have been used to show more of Charlotte’s epiphany.

Clearly it's just me but I think LTW and Herbert are poor actors. I don't get at all why people really like them. She's a good looking woman with a nice sense of style but that's the only positive I can think- in fact with the honourable exception of SJP (never thought I would say that) and Harry there is vast amounts of over acting going on all round.

“My career? Ya I’m still gonna do that.” was the best line of the entire show to date, so for that alone LTW will get my vote every time.

I’m really enjoying this now. That’s two great episodes in a row.

che. Just Che. It’s like someone said “she’s so hated, even if she rescued a puppy the fans would hate her” and the writers went “hey that’s a great idea”. I genuinely think Che is so hated the character just needs to be written out, sometimes characters just don’t work and this is one of this times.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that Aiden's jacket was the worst. He looked like a 1920s gendarme. All he needed was the little hat.

Also, my husband was in the room when I watched the final 20mins and he's only ever seen bits of SATC in that kind of way- half of an episode here, beginning set up there- and even he was shouting at the screen "Aidan mate, you'd be mad to get mixed up with this woman again!" He's not wrong; come on Aidan, she's not the woman for you.

Also in this week’s ep was Harry taking a daytime nap, Charlotte sleep shamed him and they moved on, but a PP on here said they’d noticed a few ailments being referred to with Harry in other episodes. Is it building up to some serious illness, or is it just the writers clunky way of showing him getting older, perhaps deciding to retire as Charlotte returns to the workplace?

I think Che is now Carrie’s Stanford. Paths will cross with Miranda, but only as Carrie’s friend.

Yeah I'm worried about Harry, he's fab but daytime naps, peeing 3 times during a movie, weird cum thing and I think last season Charlotte kept rearranging tests for him around her ridiculous socialising. So I think there's going to be a storyline for him coming up.

I noticed about Harry too, I really hope they don’t have a bad illness story building for him, he’s a gem.

@ReeseWitherfork can I just say though even with my view of the chronic overacting I am sadly still hooked , SATC came along at a very happy point in my life, new second husband, new baby , living in London- so I think mentally I associate the characters with 'good times' - I bet others feel like this too

Finally watched that episode!

I loved it SO much.

Laughed out loud twice, once when the hot fella with the big 🍆 walked on screen and once when Charlotte didn't realise she was stoned.

I love all the new characters, LTW is amazing and I really like the way Nya is putting her self back together. Having been through failed IVF and the impact on a relationship, I really relate to her energy in the last few episodes.

I love all the original characters too, especially Charlotte and Harry and their family. It's exactly how I would have imagined their family dynamic to be.

Also I think Aidan has aged pretty well tbh! And straight away I think the actor found the character again, it seemed exactly like how Aidan used to be. Do we know what happened to his wife? Was it Cathy?

Also felt there were too many characters/stories shoehorned into that episode. I laughed when I first saw Aidan's coat, but overall I think he looks well.
I liked the soufflé scene!

Yes, you're right. Lily. Even overall, throughout the series, she's been worse than Rock.

Couldn't agree more with that article. Carrie was incredibly selfish and a shitty friend. That's fine - not all characters need to be likeable - but honestly the only appealing thing about her was her wardrobe. I'm finding her much more pleasant in AJLT I must say

I didn't notice anything different about Charlotte after the brownies, probably because she's always so OTT 😀

Carrie was horrendously self absorbed to the point of nasty (particularly to Charlotte) in SATC2 movie. In AJLT1, she was probably understandably low key in her interactions as newly widow, but still somewhat mean to Charlotte in the first couple of episodes (blaming Charlotte for Big dying - if he had a weak heart, it would have happened some time, and she just stood there instead of attempting to help him with CPR - you can bet your bottom dollar that Charlotte would move heaven and earth to save Harry in similar circumstances). She also didn’t seem to notice or care much about Miranda’s drinking and life altering decision making. I just think the 3 main characters are quite detached from each other in AJLT2. So Carrie coming across as nicer is actually Carrie getting her narcissism/narcissistic feed/enablement catered for by other characters.

@Lottapianos and so histrionic! The throwing up when she found the engagement ring? The mental breakdown when trying on that wedding dress with Miranda? The almost passing out when she went next door to tell Aidan how she felt about the engagement? Good grief woman pull yourself together!!
