For those who watched Succession, did you do this on Apple TV+? I saw that it offers rental for £2 odd, but not sure if that is per episode.

I must be thick as haven't spotted any plot holes.

@TheUnquestionedAnswer no, I watched succession on Sky

Netaporter · 19/07/2023 16:12

Ooh today’s episode was very twisty indeed.and the ending 😲

CantFindTheBeat · 19/07/2023 22:04

It's sooooo good isn't it.

Agree that Max Beesley and Sam's wife have zero chemistry,

To be honest I can't see Sam's wife having chemistry with Sam either. She's far too academic and 'proper' for either of them.

plasticwallet · 19/07/2023 22:12

ooh i'm loving this

MabelMoo23 · 19/07/2023 22:33

Bloody hell. Talk about twists. Sooo stressful and sooo good

vincettenoir · 19/07/2023 22:38

Well done to the person who said the Mum was going to be in the next episode.

TheUnquestionedAnswer · 19/07/2023 23:03

OMG I forgot it was on tonight, daren't read upthread. Will watch tomorrow.

I did not want those credits to roll. Surely he wouldn't hide under the bed! I really hope he's safe and escapes their clutches.

What do we all think of the casting? I don't think they cast the hijackers well at all, especially the geordie girl and the main man. I think the pilot and all the flight attendants are perfect. Does anyone else think the Home Secretary is like Grant Shapps Grin I really think the woman playing Sam's ex was a poor choice and Max Beesley's character is pathetic!!

Having said all that, I'm really enjoying the show! I'm guessing that more time will be given those on the ground now we know a bit more about the motive for the hijacking. Two episodes left!!!

Xeren · 20/07/2023 09:42

I find it so unbelievable that the ex-wife lives in that luxurious, glass walled mansion in London on an academic’s salary!!!

Unless she got serious money from her split with Sam, which is believable considering he’s amazing and probably super rich.

Also, the hijackers letting the co-pilot just chat away with air control in Hungarian? Come on!

Xeren · 20/07/2023 09:44

I do like how they cover different parts of the world. Especially from the glossiness of Dubai to Iraq.

Yeah, the casting of the hijackers seem so unrealistic. I think the producers spent so much of Idris, they scraped with the other cast.

Do like the plane staff - they’re believable.

Netaporter · 20/07/2023 10:13

I’m loving the fact that the storyline is unpredictable…. And that after LOD, we no longer need to ask what OCG means 😂

deadassjackie · 20/07/2023 11:22

The whole thing is ridiculous but we’re really enjoying it. I’m slightly disappointed by the overall motive & character motivation (won’t say too much in case people are catching up). But maybe there’ll be some more twists along the way.

youngestisapsycho · 20/07/2023 20:03

I don’t understand the hijacking at all… they can’t get away with it can they? The plane has to land and they’ll be arrested or something happens to plane and they all die…
it’s really annoying me… so pointless 😂😂

SphincterSaysWhat · 20/07/2023 22:19

God this series is dire.

I often think that actors must work so hard, acting their scenes sometimes in no particular order, and then sit down and watch it and then realise "oh fuck, this is shit".

It's completely unbelievable. And I usually love this kinda thing and can forgive almost anything.

I do not like it.

LittleMrsPretty · 20/07/2023 23:22

I know completely unbelievable. The pilot would be like fuck off I’m landing the plane and your not gonna shoot me as Im the pilot!!

Your view is so interesting, @SphincterSaysWhat.

We love it!

I agree, there are more holes in it than a first go at a crocheted-blanket, but overall, we are finding it an absorbing watch,

I might have to be more discerning! Can you still enjoy it anyway?

For sure, Sam and his wife both have seriously pricey abodes, @xeren!

Seem rather incongruous with their jobs as we know them.

ellebelli · 21/07/2023 09:48

I don't love it but it is entertaining enough.
Agree that the casting of all the hijackers is rubbish, especially the old guy(hit man my arse)
You just know that idris will save the plane and probably most of the people on board so there isnt really any suspense.
Overall I like it!😀

NurseButtercup · 21/07/2023 14:05

I'm enjoying it and I'm able to suspend belief over some of the plot holes because, you know it's fiction, entertaining and helps me to forget the events of my day job.

Does anyone think that the hijackers mom survived the motorway suicide mission??

BorgQueen · 21/07/2023 14:16

Why would the ‘cleaners’ go to Sam’s house, that makes no sense at all.
Killing the Airport worker and her family had a purpose; tidying up loose ends, so to speak.

Also don’t get this. DH says it’s because he’s a ‘problem passenger’ but surely it’s more than that. The hijacker’s seem more reliant on him every minute 😂

I thought they'd gone there to hold the son hostage, sending images to the hijackers to ensure Sam does what they tell him?

Amazing apartment Sam has!

LittleMrsPretty · 22/07/2023 08:48

Son is at his Dads, they didn’t expect him to there. Son called Sam and left a message saying Hi Dad Im at your excited to see tou when you return.
