I think Andy is a bit of a wet lettuce. Whether that’s his ability as an actor, or the storylines he’s had. There’s never really been anything interesting for him to be involved in. He’s just ‘nice’ which I guess can be boring!

I’ve almost caught up. I thought the Bev storyline was really pointless until she had her cry about her husband passing and how she could never love an older man again because they die! Poor Bev! She was also a great drunk falling over the bins at the back of the rovers to get to Deirdre’s. Gail and her oddness over “Nicki” is getting on my nerves too, it’s very very weird and makes me feel abit sick.

Gail never learns, does she? Even now, 20 years later, the Platts aren't happy unless they're rowing about something or other ... 😂

Ashley and Clare make a very sweet couple and a far more suited than Ashley and " Maxime" .

I used to think Ivy was the mother in law from hell, but oh my goodness, Gail is a thousand times worse!

She's awful, more than crazily possessive over Nick, it's so strange.

Gail is making me feel ill! Audrey has got her number! What a terrible terrible actor this version on Nick was. I’m quite cross at Penny being such a user with Fred. I would have married him in a shot and I would prefer him, his butchers shops and his lovely kind demeanour to Mike and his yellow golfing jumpers any day of the week.

But Mike is a user too. I think she was testing him out to see if he would finally commit.

Gail is dreadful she's never liked any of her kids partners or thought they were good enough ,like she's the expert in relationships🙄
Yes this version of nick is bad but not quite as wooden as the first version of nick hes a good looking young man but that's about it and sadly his looks haven't lasted ,Jack P Shepherd even As a much younger actor is far more beleivable as is Tina O,Brien

you are correct, he was very very very pretty so I will forgive him! David and Sarah were definitely great young actors and you believe they are the characters they play which is a real skill at any age. I just watched Fridays episode good heavens, will Roy and Hayley ever realise that they have absolutely no right to that baby? I was pleased when the solicitor pointed out that it was Roy’s suggestion that they buy the baby and it wasn’t the loaded gun they thought it was.

Been watching classic corrie in the mornings before heading off to work so thought I'd join in on the chat.
OMG Gail! Calm down - don't know if I've missed something, but why does she hate Maria so much? She keeps mentioning something about her dumping Nick very quickly. She seems to have calmed down more recently, but I only started watching modern Corrie regularly in 2020 so I might be wrong...

Its weird that long term residents forget the relationships they had a few years before. But examples would be spoilers!

Norris has to be one of my favourite characters, found him annoying first time round, but I really enjoy his nosiness and fussiness second time.

Hated Liz Macdonald, she’s a nasty piece of work with dreadful hair and makeup.

Really wish Karen would reappear in current Corrie and find Steve with Tracy.

I found Norris annoying the first time round too but he’s marvellous.

And our Fred of course, I say our Fred is legendary.

Id love all steves wives to return for an important birthday or summat.

That would be fab and if I remember correctly think Steve is a,few months younger than me and I was 50 recently so perfect timing
And they should all have a secret child by him😂
