I don’t understand why they’re repeating Carry On films. It must be something to do with advertising revenue I suppose. But I genuinely don’t know anyone who would sit and watch one these days and I have relatives and friends from various age and socioeconomic groups. Who on earth is tuning in ??

So I have a question,when Roy was feeding baby Patience/ Amy the baby had a full head of hair and looked like a new born
When he handed the baby to Tracy the baby was bald and looked at least 6-8 weeks old🤔

There must be two babies, which is perfect. They can have one Patience each.

Patience: I thought that it was an awful name at the time but now I quite like it. I like the way it sounds in Julie Hesmondhalgh’s accent.

I prefer it to Amy I think, and I’m fond of that name too. I’ve never met an unpleasant Amy.

I get that it's painful for them but I was getting so wound up at Hayley and Roy's attitude that they should have her just because they don't think Tracey is good enough. I know money was exchanged but they said themselves they don't care about that. Even if they did convince SS/police/whatever that she was an unfit mother or criminal then the baby still wouldn't go to them, it would go to the Barlows and rightly so FFS.

Yes, Roy and Hayley had my sympathy years ago, now … no. Kate Ford is doing a good job. I think they switched Tracy to a villain with no redeeming features but in fact here she’s good as someone hard but also very vulnerable.

Watching it this time around has made me appreciate how good Kate Ford is!

Oooh wow. I love Kate Ford (and I know that David Nielsen is still in it as Roy) but even they aren’t enough to tempt me back, talented as they are.

Just found your thread. My goodness how awful and creepy do Roy and Haley come across this time around? Hayley was absolutely vile to Tracey just after she gave birth and this deciding they have rights to a baby they’ve been looking after for a week is unpleasant too. Tracy is a horrible character but KF plays her with such an undercurrent of vulnerability you do start to quite root for her… until the next appalling act. I loved the Maya storyline at the time but she’s extra crazy this time around, they don’t even build up to the Mad Maya stuff she just starts off a bunny boiler.

Liz’s rant at Tracy was ridiculous. She neglects to acknowledge that her son completely abandoned the baby and wants nothing to do with it. He’s a shit. Meanwhile Tracy is the ‘tart’ and a ‘madam’.

With Liz …. if I were her, and disliked Karen as much as she does, maybe I wouldn’t be too bothered about the marriage potentially being off. And I’d be delighted with a baby grandchild even given the circumstances, especially if the other grandmother were one of my best mates. I dunno…..I don’t think I’d be as furious as she was.
