Not paying attention again

I see Kato won her mixed match against her also disqualified women's doubles partner.

Marie Bouzkova and Sara Sorribes Tormo got a lot of abuse for their part in getting the other pair disqualified and Vasek Pospisil said Kato's loss of prize money and points was theft!

I also fantasise about getting a skip and putting everything in it. dh may be a the bottom. Just kidding.

When we had the kitchen done, I tried to sneak a bunch of stuff in the skip then. It's surprising how quickly they fill up !

Done a it of score watching- sadly Maxime lost, and Matteo is currently 1-6 0-3 down against Sonego.

These are not the results I wanted to see!

BUT- Raonic is ahead in his match in Den Bosch. So that's a goid start. Be nice to see him back ( with or without lockdown Wreckit Ralph hair).

DS1 came in from work and said are you doing your big cleanup between Roland Garros and Wimbledon? I don't know whether to laugh or cry. At least the place must look a bit better I suppose.

I wish I had been so productive. Instead I have spent the day taking ds back and forth to the dentist, because he forgot his appointment and was late for it. They sorted his filling, thankfully.

We now have a massive thunderstorm.

The teenagers mobbing the court Wouldn't happen now. Mainly because they probably wouldn't be able to afford tickets .

I’m missing the tennis and it’s too hot to do anything else!

I can’t even do a pre Wimbledon clean up as my Dyson seems to have stopped working - I took it apart to give it a clean and it isn’t working properly now I’ve put it back together

DH and DS1 are away for just over a week when Wimbledon is on - I’m not sure if this is a good thing or not - they might come back and find me embedded into the settee surrounded by empty Pimms bottles!

At least I’ll be able to watch the tennis in peace!

I wish I could watch the tournaments this week (my Prime is still really poor for the women's matches).

I am enjoying the tennis programme, and Borg not turning up at the US Open trophy ceremony. Can't imagine that happening now either. I do think that Borg and Mac made each other better- and Mac lost a bit of motivation when Bjorn retired.

Yes I enjoyed the tennis gods programme Raahh - Borg escaping in a car straight after the us open final did make me laugh - the organisers didn’t look very impressed - but yes it probably wouldn’t be allowed now - they have to stay and thank the sponsors etc!

I got another bargain book from our library the other day - Billie Jean King’s autobiography for one whole pound! Must get round to reading all these books at some point

I’ve been sat in the garden reading - DH is working from home - I think he thinks I spend all my time watching tennis or lounging around (not quite sure where he gets that idea from!)

I laughed at Ilie Nastase demanding the umpire called him Mr. Nastase is he still banned from attending Wimbledon?

Yes they did Raahh - they were probably only in their early 40s if that but looked about 20 years older - I think it was the clothes!

Good day for the Brits today, on the whole.

Don't have iplayer kazza which reminds me I need to tune in my red button channels before Wimbledon. They keep changing the frequency just to annoy everyone. I only use the red button for Wimbledon and Glastonbury and then ignore it for a year.
