Watched Beyond the Sea and Mazey Day tonight, still processing both of them. Interesting though.

Just finished White Christmas, It was bloody amazing, best episode by far, is season 6 any good?

Joan is Awful is good fun really and well played by everyone, possibly could have pressed on the multiuniverse thing a bit more? but I'm not quibbling. Didn't like Mazey Day much, too obvious and still disjointed. Loved Demon 79, the best really and loved how it branched out into Red Mirror. Great chemistry between yer wan and yer man. Beyond the Sea is Ray Bradbury-esque but violent which I liked but I agree with PP that it was too long. Also the plot hole that they seem to have no contact with HQ starts to grate a bit. Loch Henry was a bit obvious too, but sad. The Scottish accents didn't seem great either for a few of the actors.

I've neglected Black Mirror for several seasons, am going to have to go back and watch I think, really got into it again.

Monica Dolan is English (though I'll forever associate her with her Welsh W1A character "not trying to be funny but...") but I assumed most of the Scottish cast were Scottish? I know John Hannah and Daniel Portman are.

I’ve watched them all apart from Demon 79 which I’ll be watching today. I loved Beyond the Sea, didn’t find it boring at all. I loved the settings and clothes. Also it had brilliant actors in it.

Joan is Awful is the most Black Mirror like episode of them all and I enjoyed it. Loch Henry was okay but could have been better. I didn’t care for Mazey Day at all.

I’m going to rewatch some older episodes which I’ve only seen once.

Joan is Awful was classic Black Mirror, and Demon 79 wasn't typical Black Mirror at all, but both were good in their own way.
Loch Henry was OK, very sad though.
Mazey Day didn't do anything for me.

I've watched 3 of the new episodes so far. Loch Henry was fantastic and the only one worth writing home about.

Demon 79 was my favorite one. Although I felt so sorry for the main character

Overall pretty disappointed with this season, especially after such a long wait.

They mostly felt like generic short horror stories, without any sort of mind bending or unnerving twist. The ends were all quite predictable, and the meaning of each episode wasn't anything that hasn't been explored before.

Joan is Awful and Demon 79 were the only ones I really enjoyed, and the only ones I'd watch again. Mazey Day was without a doubt the worst Black Mirror episode ever.
