Late to this… persevered through it but god, it’s awful. Miranda is sooo annoying. All the woke stuff is just so trite.

I am kind of interested in Carrie’s storyline so will watch to the end but I’m not sure why!

Ooh fab knowledge @Ridemeginger I couldn’t even remember his character name. I thought my knowledge was good, but you win🤣. Oh yes, their grown up child would be fabulous to see.

Ridemeginger · 29/06/2023 17:30

@NeedToThinkOfOne It's sad they've killed off Bobby Fine. When Bitsy talked about the hole he's left in her life still being there, but the garden is growing around it, I thought that was lovely.

Ridemeginger · 29/06/2023 17:34

It's one of my favourite episodes. I liked that whole (much shorter) series when SJP was pregnant, cut her hair short, looked very beautiful, and wore some very different fashions to cover the bump. It's the last episode of the series when she gets together with Berger at the wedding.

tribpot · 29/06/2023 17:42

A much better episode, better that they've integrated the gang, and Che had something proper to do, even if it was wrapped up in yet another tiresome speech about being non-binary. Not sure why the highly competent, early tech adopter Miranda was unable to master an Android phone 🙄

The leering at a school boy was a new low, however.

redhaire · 29/06/2023 17:45

every single episode they have to somehow shoehorn in Che's non binary status. It's so unnecessary.

Ridemeginger · 29/06/2023 18:00

It's all she's got, @redhaire - or at least, all we've been allowed to know about her. Last week, she was talking about "everything I've been through" when being upset about her weight. The thing is, none of us have seen what she's been through. She was introduced as uber confident, uber brash, highly sexually confident and the toast of the town. Now we are supposed to sympathise with her vulnerability because....non binary. I'm sorry, but being given a Netflix show, because you are non binary is not a sign of vulnerability. Never mind having a highly capable woman as your adoring groupie meeting your every need, as well as your husband jumping to your command. It's bullshit.

It was episode one or two when she was discussing the blue hair flick, and the wardrobe guy says 'They want to wear a T-shirt' while standing right beside Che.

If I'd said 'She wants' when standing next to someone my Mum would have asked me if 'She' was the cat's mother. It's rude!

Surely the correct language in that situation is to say 'Che wants to wear a T-shirt', unless of course they just wanted to crowbar in a bit more non-binary in case we'd missed it.

BeginningToLookALotLike · 29/06/2023 18:29

I've only watched the first two episodes of S2 but I'm wondering if Che's producer is based on Ellen DeGeneres.

Backtoblack1 · 29/06/2023 19:53

Omg Miranda’s voice is going through me! WTAF has happened to her???

burnoutbabe · 29/06/2023 19:58

I had a choice of episode 3 or studying risk management-I chose the second.

Then enjoyed glamorous with Kim Catrell! That was good (on Netflix)

Will watch ep 3 at weekend probably

Needhelp101 · 29/06/2023 20:04

I liked Episode 3 a lot more than the previous two. Had tears in my eyes for Carrie reading the scene where Big dies and also the very touching exchange between her and Bitsy.

Che can just get to fuck. There were moments there where she seemed to be a completely different character to the one in the first series, which was jarring, but then reverted back to (dull) type.

I do like how they are SLOWLY starting to coalesce as a group.

Outfits nice this week too 😁

CornishGem1975 · 29/06/2023 20:15

Okay, this may have been covered but what has Lisa done to her face? She's all bloated and pillowy? Fillers?

SliceOfCakeCupOfTea · 29/06/2023 20:38

I've gone back to season 1 of SATC.

Just the music is making me want cigarettes and cosmos

Ridemeginger · 29/06/2023 20:39

I've tried watching Glamorous. Way too derivative of Ugly Betty. Not for me, I'm afraid. However, in this interview from yesterday, Kim C's talking about a comedy film she's in with Robert De Nero that sounds promising. Interesting what she says about Patricia Field and her involvement in Kim's cameo in AJLT.

Have to admit that the last line of episode 3 "And just like that, I got Covid" did make me snort.

Right, I'm off to watch some SATC.

Ridemeginger · 29/06/2023 21:01

@Needhelp101 I really didn't understand that line. I mean I know she pretended to have covid, but she didn't have it, so why say it?

ShinyPikachu · 29/06/2023 21:26

I took it to mean that she finally actually caught it from the tasty Aussie rugby players.

Ridemeginger · 29/06/2023 21:28

Oh OK. That's lame. Thanks, @ShinyPikachu

CornishGem1975 · 29/06/2023 21:47

I'm back watching SATC. Just about to get to the cardboard baby.

Ooh that a great episode! I remember hating Trey for doing that to Charlotte. He was an awful husband. She ruddy well deserved that apartment

stayingcool · 30/06/2023 00:27

I found episode 3 a bit better than the previous two...

Yes, this. She did the typical 'cry wolf' 😁

Needhelp101 · 30/06/2023 01:37

Talking of non-binary (were we 😁), I think this is actually why I like Rock/Rose this time around. They are just who they are, clearly a girl who doesn't conform to societal norms about femininity. Nothing more than that. And I like how the producers don't make a big deal of it.

Unlike with FUCKING CHE.

rinseandrepeat1 · 30/06/2023 08:22

I know I am in a minority here but I am LOVING season 2.

I think season 1 was pretty awkward but it's found it's stride more in season 2.

Im really enjoying it Grin

SliceOfCakeCupOfTea · 30/06/2023 08:35

Why is Che so emotional this season? We're on episode 3 and she's cried twice
