Late to this… persevered through it but god, it’s awful. Miranda is sooo annoying. All the woke stuff is just so trite.

I am kind of interested in Carrie’s storyline so will watch to the end but I’m not sure why!

I couldn't care less about Brady's love life.

Although I'm guessing his break up is going to lead to him getting together with Lily.

Agree that episode 3 was way better than the first 2. Loved Seema's pep talk to Carrie. Some really fabulous outfits this week - Miranda's blue two piece, and Carrie's jewel toned outfit that she wore to lunch and the recording. Would have liked to see more of Carrie's outfit at the jewellery launch, could only see top half but it looked gorgeous. Dying about Carrie's floral bed linen too

Che and Miranda make me rigid with boredom. Tattoos? Wow, how very out there 🙄 and if I have to hear the 'non-binary' nonsense one more time 😡

Just started season 2…. What’s up with their voices? It all feels very over-acted

@Lottapianos I remember ages ago I read Tamara Mellon's autobiography. She said that that specific line of dialogue was responsible for launching Jimmy Choo worldwide into mainstream consciousness. The same thing also happened to Manolo Blahnik.

I miss Pat Field. Although the outfits are getting much better. The costumes and the fashion and the city were all such big parts of SATC

I thought episode 3 was a huge improvement on the first 2. Still can't stand Che. I just can't see what Miranda sees in her, no personality, all about being non-binary, that's it. There is no chemistry, connection or affection between them - they could well be strangers. Nice to see a little of the old Miranda, standing up to Che and saying she was going home to look after Brady although she did then grovel a little and almost beg Che not to let her leave on bad terms. The whole relationship is just so uninteresting.

Liking Carrie a little more too. When she got upset reading the section of the book about Big's death made her seem more real than the earlier episodes where I don't remember him even being mentioned.

I also laughed a little - when Seema lit a cigarette at the jewellery show just after the robbery and the security guard called her out on it having been no-where to be seen when the robbery was taking place!

Oh yes, in the alleyway. Classic.

I just went to hate watch ep 3 and like others, I actually enjoyed it except for the MILF thing 🙄 Anthony wins again for best scene and comment🤣 though it was a much warmer and funnier episode overall, even some Miranda 1.0 sneaking in there, no spoilers but I do hope her suitcases were an indication that it’s not just a quick break to do some parenting in NYC. Che showed themselves to be self absorbed, egotistical etc. Oh and why would their partner stand in the queue with the other audience, they’d be in friends and family/come in with Che, I think that was intentional to show how Miranda isn’t seen by Che as their partner (and also to shoehorn in the phone check in line, obviously).

I love the Carrie gets mugged episode. She’s wearing a gorgeous giraffe print shirt dress which I’ve been trying to find a dupe of for ages. But I was always confused about why she cared more about her shoes than her gorgeous purple sequin Fendi baguette, which he also nicked. I love that bag, and nearly got to see it (along with other Carrie bags) at the V&A exhibition on handbags - before covid shut it down, unfortunately. Years ago, I did manage to buy a very similar (and more beautiful imo) vintage purple beaded Fendi in the ebay fire sale of a woman who was getting rid of everything her ex bf had given her - which, in itself, was very SATC. That was in the early days of both eBay and SATC, when you could pick up classic vintage bags for pennies.

Hot shot lawyer Miranda feeling insecure about the hot policeman is Miranda at her neurotic best. I loved her.

As I said before so many of you seem to hate the show but still watch it 😂

Yes yes, agree on all counts! SJP's hair was SO BEAUTIFUL in this series too - gorgeous loose curls. Miranda was at her goofy best in this episode, so funny.

And OMG the newspaper print dress! One of Carrie's best outfits ever 😍

I agree @Lottapianos ,she looked incredible in that one. IIRC, accessorised with a Dior saddlebag. Although her hijacking of Natasha to demand closure in that episode was heinous!

I've realised who new Miranda is reminding me of: every sensible woman I know who ever got sucked into an MLM scheme. Like cult members on happy pills living their "best lives" against all evidence to the contrary.

Oh yes! I forgot that was a highlight of the ep. It was a really nice exchange between her and Carrie. Remember her pregnancy when Charlotte was unable to conceive? Now the widow of Nathan Lane’s character, I assumed from that conversation? I’d have to look him up but he was a great returning character throughout SATC.

I think Bobby introduced the 4 ladies to Mitzy; however, Harry already knew Bitzy prior to his relationship with Charlotte, as he'd handled her divorce. That's how he and Charlotte ended up at the Fine/Von Muffling wedding. Carrie was invited as a an old friend, as was Samantha. Miranda was Carrie's plus 1. Samantha took over Richard Wright's Hamptons house for the occasion, and ended up breaking a window, throwing a melon at Richard's "Coco butter bitches/Pussy Posse."

My husband asked me the other night how many times I've watched SATC. I'm beginning to scare myself.

It would be nice to meet Mitzi's child, who must be around 20ish.
