Late to this… persevered through it but god, it’s awful. Miranda is sooo annoying. All the woke stuff is just so trite.

I am kind of interested in Carrie’s storyline so will watch to the end but I’m not sure why!

It's the other way around, @AnOKYearForTheRoses . She's an executive producer of the show (as are SJP and KD). This agenda is being forced by her, not on her.

I'm guessing the writers for this aren't the same as the original, which is why it sucks. I know I'm sounding like a boring old fogie (at 38), but it seems like there are no new ideas, so many movie and tv remakes that just taint the original.

I have this vision of a bunch of young writers trying to make their mark, who were fans of the show, thinking 'I know, we'll reinvent SATC, but make it more progressive'. And they've ruined it.

CN left her husband became a lesbian and has a trans dc. So of course she will push non binary Che, the rose story, the middle aged lesbian story.

What I find even more odd is that an actual potentially interesting story would have been lilys race and her international adoption background. But no it's invisible.

I didnt hate the strap on scene,. I didnt like when Miranda continued doing what she was doing while Che was on the phone (but have seen that with male on female/female female)

I didnt think that the wedding address would be a good dress for the Met Ball, seemed a bit shit, but at least she didnt go in the deck chair that had been 'designed' for her

The wedding dress is a (now vintage?) Vivienne Westwood so I think on that basis would have passed muster at the Met? Esp as they are all just plebs who don't get to walk the red carpet a la Rihanna.

I thought a lot of it was absolutely repulsive.

What bugs me is that they bring up social issues out of no where - like the little girl saying she couldn’t have natural hair and then the dad not being able to get a taxi apparently cos he was black.

absolutely these are real issues but it’s just the clunky way they are handled. They mention once then not again.

LTW's red dress and head piece were stunning, and that shot of her on the cross walk rivalled the one of SJP eating popcorn in her Versace millefeuille dress in season 1.

I was actually pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. Even Che and Miranda grated less on me (but hey, the season is still in its infancy). For me, I just really love the familiarity of seeing Carrie, Charlotte and Miranda on screen together again. It's comforting and a little retreat from the world.

I found Miranda marooned at the beach utterly baffling. She was with a group of people. Why would none of them have given her a lift? I get that the man she spoke to didn’t (looks like neurodiversity remains too diverse for a ‘friend’ character on this show) but there were plenty of other people around who would have been able to help. It didn’t make sense.
