How pregnant exactly is Shiv? I'm wondering whether she will feel she needs to choose between pregnancy and CEO. Although that would be pretty dark, even for this show.

I may have misrembered this but does Colin know about what happened with Kendall and the car accident? Might explain why Kendall wanted to employ him.

Yes he does, and 100% the reason Kendall’s concerned he’s talking to a therapist. I don’t doubt it’s the only thing he cleaned up for the Roys either.

When Matsson calls Shiv to say he can make a US CEO work, he's calling from a car- and the tight crop and him looking past camera sort of implies there's someone in the car with him (although this is purely speculation)

i’m so sad at the thought of no more new Succession after Monday. i want more!!!

i think my favourite line was “i thought i heard some dalmatians howling” (or words to that effect) when Caroline arrived! Just perfection!

i also will feel a bit disappointed if it’s Greg. although if he had to fire Tom - that would be brutally good!

i also agree that someone else was in the car with Mattson at the end

Thanks! I was getting very upset that I didn't know what anyone was talking about.

Gerri would happily tell Matsson where the skeletons are buried in exchange for a payoff when he takes over. He could give her CEO of a company that doesn't do business with Waystar or just keep her on as legal counsel until the takeover is complete.

I'm going to call it. They defeat the buy out. Ken is CEO. His kids are there and he shuts them out makes them play in silence outside his office. The exquisite Roman (I know but I can't help it - he's so naughty!) is on the sidelines. Shiv and Tom have tried to join forces and they both frozen out. It's all full circle. Ken becomes Logan.

Ps Shiv had confirmation of her 20 week scan.

Could somebody explain how Kendall's daughter is S Asian? Is she adopted?

She's adopted- not confirmed in the show I don't think, but Jesse Armstrong confirmed it in a podcast (which I'm trying to find now!)

There was a scene I can’t remember when, Colin the driver (who found Kendall’s room keycard at the crash site & did the tidying up/cover up & also took him to Heathrow before the police arrived to start interviewing) said to Kendall “I KNOW YOU” with a very knowing and significant air. 100% the drowned waiter is going to play a role in Ken’s downfall.

I'm going to miss the show, it's amazing so ,shakespearean the funeral scenes were so powerful.

Ooh. He's the only sympathetic character as well.

There's no way narratively the dead waiter isn't going to come back - Kendall hasn't paid for his crime, therefore it must all come out in the wash.

Thinking further about the drowned waiter, there was a point where only Kendall, Logan, Colin, plus Marcia and her son knew about it. Marcia was sitting on a sofa with her son when she suggested strongly to Kendall, twice, that he check what was missing from his room, in order to explain the lad having his keycard. After that they left the room, and Logan handed Ken over to Colin to be taken to the airport and got out of the country.

Since then though Kendall has confessed to Shiv and Roman, round the back of the villa in Chiantishire at Lady Caroline’s wedding, so it’s not a well kept secret at all. I feel certain it’s going to become very significant. Fascinating.

Assuming Tom told Greg who told Matsson.

I think none of them will win and one of the old guard will.
The dead waiter will come back and take out Kendall
Shiv will be dumped humiliatingly by Mattson who will confess that everything he said was a lie
Roman will just be swallowed by his own demons
Conor and Willa will be given a choice of Riyadh or Mogadishu because Mencken will go back on his deal
Tom will be sacked for making the wrong call

Perhaps Gerri will be made CEO and Frank COO. Karl gets his golden handshake.

A previous poster put a link to the estate agent particulars of the actual apartment and in the description it's mentioned as a "midnight kitchen". I guess it's a rich person thing of having so much money/a huge enough apartment that they can install a mini kitchen adjacent to the bedroom so that the rich person doesn't have to go to the tremendous bother of walking across their apartment to get a cold drink in the night or make themselves a coffee upon waking.

I agree, I think the inclusion of the conversation between Kendall and Colin is absolutely intentional because the dead waiter thing will come back to bite.

The scene where Tom eventually gets to the wake and starts crying, talking about how tired he is etc. Shiv seems genuinely sympathetic and there’s still something there between them. But I don’t trust Tom and perhaps he is in bed with Matsson.

Was Shiv all talk with the stuff about bringing up the child the “family way” ie. never see them? Or will she use the whole sordid business, however it pans out, to decide to do things differently? Will Tom make sure the child is brought up differently? I guess we probably won’t know but I’d like to see even just a glimmer of what the future holds for Tom, Shiv and the baby.

I love that whilst we have theories, we have NO idea how this will all play out!

That makes sense @RancidRuby - well, sense by the standards of the ultra-wealthy. I wouldn't fancy walking round Shiv's apartment at night to get a glass of water, for example - you'd never find your way back to the bedroom.

Why did he want to go back to their apartment to sleep? Is he going to look for something?

He said that they they all know him at the hotel and he hates that. I suppose he means he hates that they know his business. Shiv was offering him privacy to get his head down for a couple of hours, “ I don’t care “ she said.
