Semi Final one looks like the one to watch and the harder one to qualify from.

For all the nerds the big five and Ukrainian have had their draw for the Grand Final:
In the first half are France, Spain and Italy (positions to be decided on Friday)
In the second half are Germany (position to be decided), Ukrainian 19th and UK 26th (confirmed positions).

When did Czech Rep get a new name?!

In 2016. I don't think it's their new official name; just their common short-form name. Just like we always refer to France as France and don't keep saying The French Republic.

“Not your dolls” which reminds me, did anyone hear Sandie Shaw being interviewed the other day? she has released remixed versions of Puppet on a String to raise money for Ukraine. She sounded like a really lovely person.

If Eswatini were in Europe too, that would blow everybody's minds!

They used to be called Swaziland, but were annoyed at everybody mistaking them for Switzerland, so they changed their official name.

I don't know if the final straw was the episode of Shooting Stars that Richard E Grant was on and Vic & Bob kept asking him his home country and then saying "I think you'll find it's pronounced Switzerland!"
