I agree about the pot bit of pot luck. Everyone needs the pyrex dishes.

This is more like what Brits bring to a buffet. Except maybe for the curries and soups.

Doctor has said that poor DD may need a feeding tube to give her stomach a rest for a bit, so it feels mean to be watching food - even though she's asleep!

Yup yup, and she said yesterday's went really well and she felt more confident, so I think she's disappointed that she couldn't do today's.

I agree with people who say this isn’t pot luck food, this is showy off food, put them next to someone’s macaroni cheese or sausages and there would be muttering. Pot luck is one thing in a dish. ( or cheese and grapes if you are me)
