Yes, they d do Church meals. That's true. I mean I've had to take a trifle or a quiche or something to a party but this US thing of bringing like a big stew, nope. Or at least not called a Pot Luck. The church ones are Faith Meals. Lots of food blessing and hugging. People, not food.

My potluck contributions are giant salads; potato, three bean, leeks with vinaigrette, tabbouleh, the Moro carrot one... And so on. Sometimes a potluck ends up a bit light on the veg, so it's my mission to set it right.

It is very sweet that John wants to please his children but I'm not entirely sure it's a great strategy for Masterchef. Your children aren't the judges. (Although they probably have a more sophisticated palate than Gregg.)

Me too. My DH has well controlled type 1 and eats plenty of sugar - he just adjusts his insulin accordingly
