Not surprised at the outcome. Agree an odd choice to have a vegetarian judge. maybe in a future challenge to make a vegetarian dish or the professionals and expect a separate version.

Liked it overall, nice seeing the old contestants. I wonder at what stage they learn the critic lingo - depth of flavour, layers….

Late to the party again. Aaarrgh, Matthew! I jinxed him by liking him. Perhaps he should have stuck to his strengths, but he didn't actually do too badly and it's going to be very annoying if we get the feeling that he would have gone through in another heat.

Terri is my new favourite from this group. I can see her as a finalist, and I like the way she is quietly invested (not doing fist pumps, basically).

Nikolas annoyed me even more by cooking octopus.

Matt Tebutt would not have eaten that octopus.

We were sad Matthew went out.

DH noticed Vanessa wears her top off one shoulder at judging time (2nd time he'd seen it, was normal during cooking).

Haha really? I'm going to keep a look out for that. Cheeky!

When announcing the "person leaving us" it's usually the second last person the camera shows before it goes to the judges. The dots on the floor also annoy me- they could have easily done that more subtly.

That off-the-shoulder thing was bugging me. Then I noticed she’s got different colours of the same top, too. She was wearing an orange one in the earlier rounds and it was a green one on Friday. Wonder whether she'll have a third colour when she comes back later?

Like Food Truck and his different colour caps...

I can't watch live on Tuesday and Thursday. Looking forward to catching up with you all on Friday.

I think I blocked out that Pookie made finals last year. She and Eddie both had a touch of the Andi Peters wankery, Radha was so lovely though, she can come back.

Although I think choc fondant (and risotto) should be instant dismissal, there are thousands of puds to choose from, it's so boring to have to hear the same lines from Greggg year after year.
