It would have been more satisfying for us the viewer of this was revenge for the victims actions (messed with the male defendants sisters for example)

But maybe the point just is that a lot of crime is pointless and petty and some criminals are just stupid?

But they mentioned this? They were clear he'd been involved in criminality, they'd shown the footage of him in an earlier programme and discussed his dad supporting him with a new job to try and become clean.

In the absence of any further details I do wonder if the guy died because his assailants took their anger out on him when his watches turn out to be fakes.

He probably was asleep at one point because those 2 women had given him Rohypnol. The issue seems to be that it didn't put him out for as long as they wanted so they then called the men to come and assist.

@VirginiaQ Yes I know it may have knocked him out a little but the detective making that comment made her sound clueless.

@Bagpuss2022 The Honeytrap Murder pts one and two. I found them on the All4 app on my mobile, and also found them right away on my smart tv.
