Not 100% sure what it's about but I'm gonna give it a go and didn't see a thread.

Google tells me it's from the creators of " The Traitors" a BBC hit from late last year and spawned versions around the world.

From what I can tell there's an elevator and meant to be rich and poor people and you can rise or fall in this " society" as I say I'm not too sure but let's see if others are giving it a go or know more.

I won't be watching live though unfortunately

Who knows what goes on behind the scenes

Producers influencing their decisions etc

kenyaswhiterefrigerator · 05/04/2023 10:24

Jack did not handle Connor well at all. He should have sold him the change your mind for the greater good angle. Do something in the interests of everyone not just protecting your alliance.

Instead he just confirmed he would be booting him our regardless of his decision. What's the motivation in that

countingallthseconds · 05/04/2023 10:31

I have been lurking in this thread from the start, and not really had time to comment, but here are my thoughts. Jack has set himself up as the alpha in the penthouse, and seems to think he can intimidate every single person up there. When he went for Connor last night it had nothing to do with what the grafters wanted, it was him trying to preserve his own place. You could see him realising how his alpha status could be lost if Moses allies were placed up there.

Connor, don't hate him. It's a game. He knows it. He seems to be the only person up there willing or able to admit that. I don't blame him for forming the alliance with Moses as the other alliance is no more noble than theirs.

Sophie, bluergh. Nasty Tory. Sydney, how the hell is she such a strong candidate to be a leader? She's shown no leadership whatsoever at any point. Moses has. Eddy has. But Eddy knows the longer he's down there the more he's a shoe-in for the win, he's not going to want to rise until right at the end.

The new two - cannon fodder. Seem alright though. Impressed by Joao's cockroach handling.

Ramona, want to hate her but just love her for being the Disney evil Queen she is. Can't help it.

lemonsaretheonlyfruit · 05/04/2023 11:07

When Jack says to Sydney 'I can win this easily'. He really is cocky enough to think he has it in the bag. Bleugh.I look forward to his comeuppance.

He's absolutely vile. I cannot wait for him to fail.

countingallthseconds · 05/04/2023 11:13

I'd say the safe money is on Eddy to win. But I love an outlier, so pretty much any of the grafters down there except Sydney really. I really like Isaak, he gets stuck in, he keeps the morale up. He's a good grafter.

lemonsaretheonlyfruit · 05/04/2023 11:21

Yes I like Isaac too. I thought Joanna was brilliant too and would have stood a chance alongside Eddy.

capecheckmaskcheck · 05/04/2023 11:21

Is this the last week? I have no idea how many episodes are left? I feel the producers need to flag this a bit as that sense of it drawing to a conclusion is really important for a show like this.

capecheckmaskcheck · 05/04/2023 11:22

Ok I just googled. Final is the 13th. Show runners definitely missing a trick not reminding us of that.

ItsTrueLou · 05/04/2023 13:16

I think we are about to see Episode 13 of 18 tonight

ellebelli · 05/04/2023 14:41

I am really enjoying this and didn't think I would after the first episode.
Will everyone get a chance to rise?I don't see how they can...that's the part I'm unclear about.
Whats the point if you never come out of the basement?
Ramona and matt are unlikely to be sent back up, so it this this it for them?they have lost?!
Anyway I like most of them but do think it's probable that eddy will win,he is the most deserving I feel, just nice to everyone and fair, plus he gets stuck in with the tasks and making the bread.
I like conner and don't really see the desperate need to get him out.
Miss marina,my OH said she looked like rik mayall(sp?)

Bluetrews25 · 05/04/2023 17:36

I don't get why they seem to think that changing your mind in ANY circumstances is a sign of weakness. Surely you change your mind when you have more information to consider? Then changing your mind when it would be idiotic to continue with your first impression would be a sign of strength and wisdom. We're not all Maggie Thatcher 'this lady's not for turning'.
And why are they so set on the allegiances they made in the first hours? Get those first rulers out! Why? They might be ok!
Can't stand Marina (sorry, she needs to grow up and not tailgate on others' ideas or gaslight us about what she actually chose/said), Jeff (just retire, we don't call others thick, and can you leave God out of things, please? some find 'God bless' a bit unconfortable), Ramona (put a top on and, honestly, being rich does not mean that you are a great manager and/or people like you)
Just my thoughts for today!
Wondering if there will be any cash left tonight. Those silly little boys and their need to be right at any cost. 🙄

CosyCoffee · 05/04/2023 17:43

I agree @Bluetrews25, sticking to a decision rigidly even when circumstances change is not a quality of a good leader.

I really struggle to understand the motivations and decisions the contestants are making. I'd rather they just made up their minds on how they feel about people personally rather than 'leadership' claptrap.

Mouldyfoodhelp · 05/04/2023 18:29

Just caught up and find it funny that they're willing to lose all the money for their ego. I can see Moses or Rossi changing their mind, Connor can't or he's out 100% and doesn't matter and Jack is too egotistical and sees Sidney (?) As he's way of winning so even losing 50k they can rebuild some of it.

SlippinKimmy · 05/04/2023 21:43

I never warmed to Jack even at the beginning and he’s been a total dick since he got up there. Can’t believe they’re wasting all the money in a stupid pissing contest. Someone needs to be the bigger person and end it. My money’s on Rossi.

ReginaPerrin · 05/04/2023 21:54

I didn’t think I was going to be so invested in this program but I’m really enjoying it. Rossi seems a good sort so hopefully he’ll end this ridiculous situation before too much money is lost. I like Moses as well - he’s determined to give Jack a run for his money.

pavillion1 · 05/04/2023 22:21

i hope the grafters refuse to do any grafting today.

lemonsaretheonlyfruit · 05/04/2023 22:41

Jack's attitude towards the grafters is shocking. He would have happily let it run to zero as he doesn't give a f*ck. i think it would be great to let the grafters see some of the comments up there. That would definitely get him voted out

VooVooV · 05/04/2023 22:42

Eugghhh, Jack trying to spin it to blame Connor. He’s such an arse.
I really don’t want to see Jack and Sydney all over each other.
Idiots.

VooVooV · 05/04/2023 22:44

Ooooh - I am liking the plot twists! Hello again Connor!!

Thegoodbadandugly · 05/04/2023 22:46

I think they were in a very difficult position because at the end of the day Jack was at risk of being booted out if Sophie got in and Moses risked getting booted out if Sidney got up so they both went head to head to keep their place.

aSofaNearYou · 05/04/2023 22:53

Thegoodbadandugly · 05/04/2023 22:46

I think they were in a very difficult position because at the end of the day Jack was at risk of being booted out if Sophie got in and Moses risked getting booted out if Sidney got up so they both went head to head to keep their place.

They were blatantly all doing that, but Jack (and Rossi) are coming across way worse than Connor and Moses by trying to claim they weren't doing that and were just being good leaders. Massively hypocritical.

I really hope they vote Jack off.

Thegoodbadandugly · 05/04/2023 22:59

Jack's going to Go

aSofaNearYou · 05/04/2023 23:02

Thegoodbadandugly · 05/04/2023 22:59

Jack's going to Go

I don't know, a lot of them sounded like they were voting for Rossi.
