maybe its just my assumption that she wanted kids. as probably if she did, she would have got herself married much younger, or at least dated a lot to find someone.

i like that 9.5 and layton seem happy - shows superficial first impressions from us of the people can be wrong - i can't imagine how i'd act on a wedding day with a total stranger and suddenly thinking OMG this is a bad idea and just acting stiff and cold - just from sheer nerves.

layton in his suit at the end of the Aisle saying hello to his new bride in the previews did look a bit of a "sad sack" - compared to the layton we saw in the intros to him when he is rock climbing, showing off bit more of his body and personality.

On ep 7 here right now. 'Confessions week.' WTF is the point of that? Alyssa's just told Duncan she had an affair with a married man back in the past. Why does this matter now? Why does there have to be a 'confession' about this? It's in the past and is nothing to do with any current relationship.

I get really annoyed with people who just have to confess they had an affair, and even though they say 'I'm not proud of it,' I think they actually are ... 'Oh, look at me. I'm so gorgeous and desirable that a married man wanted to cheat on his wife for me.' Just fuck off. This 'confessions week' bullshit is just to add drama to the show ... It's so annoying.

I know it is shallow but the only thing they can go on at first is the initial physical attraction, Layton looked pretty good in the clips before but in the suit he looked really unattractive IMO and I can't put my finger on why, less what I imagined her type to be so I thought straight away she might go a bit weird. It's difficult to know what shes really like as they definitely take comments out of context (esp as they are asking questions then just edit comments in as if they have randomly said it)

I agree, I hate it, they shouldn't have to discuss the past with their new partners, people make mistakes, they grow up and move on. I guess doing this brings out the controlling arseholes though and those who are so insecure they can't cope with their partners having a past. And yes those who make their confession about affairs in the past do come across as attention seeking. If they genuinely regretted it then just move on and no need to discuss ever again.

the affair confession - didn't she said she didn't actually know - was told he had seperated and belived him. if so thats not really a shocking confession. thats just her being naive?

And yes layton to me seemed unattractive in the wedding vows bit. But he's actually the sort of man i generally go for (IT types) and now i think him quite attractive (nerdy, owns his own company, but also a good body and works out)

And the oh so awkward silences at the alter are strange - are they waiting for a signal from the registrar to speak? and the reg just leaves them hanging for ages for dramatic affects?

whether 9.5 and layton work out, who knows but i think they will get on fine and just maybe won't be THE ONE in the end.

I think that that have to come up with 'confessions' before they're even accepted on the show. It's part of why they are chosen. Bit rubbish. It's stuff you don't even need to tell your partner after years of being together.

Bit random, but I'm loving Clare's glasses (especially the pink/reddy ones) don't suppose anyone knows where you could get similiar ones?

That's so funny, I said to DH, what on earth has she got on her face! I actually really like the glasses but she looked like she was 5 wearing her mummy's glasses that were too big.

They are lovely glasses, sadly I look the same as Clare in them as I have a small head 😂

I found a fab website called Firmoo that have glasses like that and lots of quirky ones…it’s a Chinese website so I was a bit sceptical the first time I ordered. It takes about 2 weeks for them to arrive and the glasses are just the same quality you’d get in Vision Express or Specsavers -at a fraction of the price!

by the way….I’m not getting commission 😂 but I’ve got a lovely selection of specs now!

anyway back to Mafs, Harrison has to be the worst fella that’s ever been on this….and that includes Thumbface or whatever he was called!

@ImAGoodPerson They are cool glasses. Not sure if it was the colour I was attracted too, or the size. Not even sure I liked them! It's more of the fact they got my attention iykwim

HornyBear is a sexual bully. I don't think she cares who she is having sex with just as long as it someone. She can say what she likes but sex is her be all and end all.

Having a high sex drive is one thing. She's bullying him. It's a massive red flag and he should ditch her. It shouldn't be any different to a man behaving this way.
