I think she’s absolutely allowed to be whoever she wants to be and I can see it’s upsetting if you get criticised. But she asked.

Absolutely loving this thread. Just got up to date. Can't even believe how SLIMEY Harrison is. Seems like a nasty man underneath his neat facade.

I was so looking forward to this series but having binged so far yesterday and today I'm not feeling it. I have nothing to add on this thread that hasn't already been said. The nice couples I want to succeed but imagine it will be dull viewing.

Jesse had a horrible sneery, snidey look on his face when he was saying that to her. And then pondered to camera if he could have said those things in a more gentle way. Well, yes, he could. Don't like him.

'Mama Bear' is already getting on my wick, and we've barely see her!

Re Jesse I think there's a difference between explaining what someone does that annoys you and mimicking them in a cruel way which to me is what he did

I don’t know about Jessie. I think he was quite open and vulnerable on the pontoon with his worries . He’d clearly hinted the day before how he’d found her a bit much and she obviously didn’t get it really.
I don’t think he was being mean to her personally. Just trying to point out what he found difficult with her behaviour. He answered the question given in the box quite clearly . She was arguing with him by demanding “ multiple examples” rather than just accepting his feelings ( which he is entitled to) I think.
They’ve been thrown together. It’s not a reflection on her if she’s not actually his type. She doesn’t have anything to prove.

I quite like Jesse. All his 'icks' are about him being defensive about rejection, so he sabotages anything before it even gets going. He has shown a lot of vulnerability.

But yes, he would be difficult to be paired up with because he has some issues to work through, so not sure he would have worked with anyone at this point in his life.

I have just caught up. I suspect that Jesse is staggeringly insecure and therefore he likes to point out the flaws in everyone else to avoid having to address his own issues. Unfortunately it also makes him look like a giant pulsating, intolerant bell-end.

He needs a fuck ton of therapy but I suspect all that would do was fuel his narcissism and make him even more unbearable.

Apparently Adam (paired with Janelle - overbearing brothers/ concerned about what his job is) is a reality TV veteran. He's been on Celebrity Dinner Dates, Coach Trip, Come Dine with me.

So it looks as if his career is reality TV star which is probably why he is finding it so difficult to tell her what he does

But Janelle hardly has a huge established career!? She's an "influencer" - maybe she makes a good living now but this surely can't be relied upon for the rest of her working life.

Yeah I did find the social media influencer quizzing her husband on his career prospects a bit 🤔🤔

I don’t like Jesse I think he was unnecessarily OTT with Claire who I thought was really sweet, she reminds me of some of the staff at my daughters nursery, I can see that nurturing side in her.

Harrison is just vile, he must have a magic mirror cos I don’t see what he thinks he sees! I’d defo have a bet on him being involved in some wife swap scandal, likely with 9.5/10 lassie!

I’d agree with PP that Jesse isn’t purposely being malicious, there is something not right about him though, he doesn’t seem very at home in his own skin despite the bravado. He also looks a lot like Jim Carey to me with the faces he pulls!

Harrison is awful, I can’t understand why the producers would have let him on the show…for good tv obv, but he’s clearly not ready to settle down.

Interesting to hear that Adam is a reality tv veteran, really does explain why he couldn’t say what he did for a living. The way he got so angry about the question and tried to make her feel bad for asking was out of order, she’s right it’s a normal question to ask of anyone you meet and they are expected to get married and live together, you want to know if that person can contribute to the rent.

I've finally caught up - Harrison really is an arse and blaming her for his inadequacies. Jesse is frustrating - seems to be recognising what he needs to do then sabotages things again, ugh!

I caught up yesterday with the week. Harrison is repulsive. He looked delighted that she’d fallen for the crap about her friend. He admitted about the girl outside, even down to wishing she was going in with him or something, it matched what her friend told her.
The blonde couple are very sweet. I think it’s a lot to match someone with health issues. I know she’s on the wonder drug, but surely if he wasn’t into her (luckily he is) or found it too overwhelming, he’d be open to a lot of hate.
The sex pest woman is like a plain, mumsy version of the one from the UK version.
Pink suit man is not my bag. They looked cute in the photos. I’d find the crystals/ astrology irritating personally. They will be an interesting match. Think he may well become well liked eventually.
I was really surprised the Indian bride shared a bed. His friends were quite judgemental when they could see it was a different cultural theme. He reminded me of Dion.

I have MAFS Australia on my Twitter and, no spoilers, but there's a lot to look forward to.

I'm wondering if Jesse will be the surprise hit of the series.

I was still following from last year on Twitter and Instagram - they kept popping up so I have unfollowed until after the series is aired here again a si don't want any spoilers yet (not sure how long I'll last!). Trouble is my Google home page news keeps showing the latest from Aus so have to quickly minimise!!

I know I keep seeing the Oz pace thread popping up on here but I’m trying my best not to look and ruin it for myself 🙈🙈🙈
