I need to research as I think I fell asleep and missed the end 🙈

I'm furious they added that nice bit at the end of Will's clip. That is so unfair.

Isn't it funny how out of all the things Ron said, it was the comment about Olivia not getting Tom that she was most upset about? Previously she's thrown a strip about being called "disingenuine" (😂) but that didn't bother her at all this time. She simply cannot handle rejection and clearly isn't used to it.

Tanya is disgusting. Poor Shaq. She's like Zara in the way her face contorts and voice changes when she's angry. Speaking of Zara, I'm not sure how Olivia showing her true colours redeems her. It is possible they're both awful and probably why they clashed.

CellophaneFlower · 24/02/2023 09:52

Re-watch not research

I just don’t understand the hate for Liv - she’s clearly very insecure despite her beauty. She’s far less offensive than shit stirrer Ron and sly misogynist Casey. Film night exposed some of the more aggressive traits of the pack mentality in the men…

Olivia is a massive shit stirrer, shes just far more sly about it. She alludes to things rather than saying them outright. Her absolute pleasure when anybody else is upset is clear to see. Being insecure isn't an excuse for this.

LostaraYil · 24/02/2023 09:58

I can't stand Olivia, the way she laughs to herself whenever a conversation doesn't go her way and cries at anything remotely threatening so she'll get away with it is just so fake. I really do think she's a plant and whatever we vote for she will be kept in until the end. Kai has done exactly the right thing refusing to engage with her.
Tanya did make a mistake saying she loved Shaq, but other than that I don't have a problem with her standing up for herself and not accepting him telling her how to behave, everyone said Shaq was showing red flags originally when he was critical of her kissing others in challenges etc. Her treatment of Martin was more of an issue.

Chasedbythechaser · 24/02/2023 10:01

The truth hurts and that is why Olivia is smarting most about the comment about Tom. She knows that it is now obvious and she’s feeling humiliated.
She’s awful and I can’t see her ‘beauty’ at all. She has nice hair but that’s about it.

lemonsaretheonlyfruit · 24/02/2023 10:05

@xxxSophiex that's what I was thinking. Do tell!

beastlyslumber · 24/02/2023 10:08

Tanya is a narcissist. The way she played the kissing challenge was a test to Shaq - I can behave however I like, you must accept it or you're the problem. He stood up for himself and that made her angry. When she met Martin, she went all out to seduce him in an effort to punish Shaq for his "red flags" (i.e. calling out her bad behaviour.) She expected Shaq to beg/fight for her. At first it looked like he was done, so she backed completely away. When he came to speak to her by the pool, she took that as an opening to get him back. She sneaked down to see him in the daybed and kissed him, so she knew full well that he would take her back and she wasn't risking anything with her big public apology. Now that he's seen her behaviour in Casa, she isn't going to apologise any more. She knows that she doesn't have to do that, because she's got Shaq hooked. She just has to threaten to end it and make him think that he's the problem for wanting better treatment.

Martin was only ever a means to an end for Tanya. It backfired on her a little bit, because she assumed he would fall for her like Shaq had and that she could do whatever she liked to him, to get him to play her game.

She is a huge headfuck and her behaviour is cruel and damaging. She's a narcissist.

kenyaswhiterefrigerator · 24/02/2023 10:13

Just caught up and OMG Olivia is so self obsessed.

When the girls were sitting in a group post Movie night she ignored everyone else's issues and was 'let's address the real elephant in the room, Ron' because he said she was fake.

Show some compassion for others fgs!

Chasedbythechaser · 24/02/2023 10:14

The new guy is very young but he’s definitely attractive looking.

New girl is the usual Botox type - will fit right in. She’s a mix between Jessie and Samie.

beastlyslumber · 24/02/2023 10:15

Olivia also has a personality disorder, in my opinion. Ron's comment about Tom upset her because it showed that Ron hadn't bought into her bullshit and also confronted her with the truth. She doesn't accept the truth, because she lives in a fantasy world where she would never be rejected (or even get carpet burns).

She is upset about Maxwell's comments because he admitted to a tiny sliver of doubt about her - that he wasn't 100% "closed off" to others. Most normal people would be pleased with what he said, but Olivia is furious because anything less than 100% is not good enough for her. In her mind, Maxwell has insulted her by indicating that she's not completely perfect.

You can also see that she takes pleasure in other people's upsets, pain and trouble. Unless that is nasty editing.

This is SO spot on!!

kenyaswhiterefrigerator · 24/02/2023 10:18

@beastlyslumber they need to send you in to sort them all out. All of your observations are spot on

XelaM · 24/02/2023 10:20

Completely agree about Tanya being a total head fuck. Unfortunately, Shaq is totally hooked on her and no one will stand up to her (except Martin who's becoming one of my favourites 😂).

Tom and Ron actually have the girls well-sussed and give decent advice to the guys. Lana sees it all but won't say anything to either Tanya or Olivia.

Samie and Tom are actually very cute together. She clearly likes him a lot and her tears were way more natural than Jessie's (maybe because Samie's face actually moves and she doesn't look like a Botoxed mummy). On a side note, her black bikini by the pool yesterday was absolutely stunning. Other girls in there should take note. Olivia's and Tanya's swimwear is always especially ugly.

The only person Casey is interested in romantically is Tom. I don't think Tom swings both ways and he looked a bit weirded out when Casey suddenly stripped and got into the bath with him. Casey is definitely gay.

CrkdLttrCrkdLttr · 24/02/2023 10:36

Yes, Samie’s black bikini was unusually elegant! I wouldn’t say most of the swimwear on LI is providing the best publicity for EBay.

It’s true Kai deserves some sort of prize - but Sanam is really just a passenger. She doesn’t seem to be bringing anything individual to the villa - just clinging to Kai for dear life and hoping she’ll get to the final if she keeps her head down and makes herself invisible. (Unless the editing is misrepresenting her?) At this point it would be unfair for her to win.

Everyone said that about Will and look at his character arc 😂

Mouldyfoodhelp · 24/02/2023 10:59

I wonder if they're prompted who to choose? I feel like we as viewers kinda have the insight on which clips they'll likely show but it feels like, Jessie, Ron and even Caseys to an extent was a wasted chance there'd been no hint of Jessie and Ron doing anything really wrong in CA

XelaM · 24/02/2023 11:12

I see what you're saying 🤣

But Casey has already snogged To, got naked into a bath with him, straddled him (allegedly to show how Cynthia did it to him). The only thing left for him to do is to actually have sex with him 😂

I know! For one second I thought she was going to attempt to explain her chatting shit about everyone (because that was the actual elephant in the room!) but of course not. Olivia would never acknowledge her own bad behaviour.

I think they're all well beyond any sorting I could do!

Shaq will need professional help when he gets out of there. The only person who seems to 'get' Tanya is Martin - and Shaq isn't listening to Martin.

This is spot on. It is also why she was hounding Kai with an answer as to why he thinks she’s fake. Because she cannot accept that someone thinks differently of her to how she thinks about herself. But now she has seen the clip of Ron saying that to Kai, she is now holding on to the fact that Ron is responsible for Kai thinking that about her. Kai couldn’t possibly draw that conclusion about her himself. So now it will be Ron’s character she will attempt to destroy with everyone else.

MyopicBunny · 24/02/2023 12:15

I think Lana and Ron are going to win this pretty easily. I really do not want to see either Olivia or Tanya in the final.

ChangedmynameagainforChristmas · 24/02/2023 12:21

Another downvote for Tanya. A very unpleasant selfish person. I have only watched the programme twice and she was horrible both times.
All of them are as vain as fxxck and nobody being honest because they all want to win so what is the point?

Exactly. She will be glad to be able to start on Ron, because Kai's grey rock approach was very effective in making her look stupid. Ron is more likely to react and give her ammunition.

As a pp noted, her first comment after movie night was to "address the elephant in the room - what Ron said about me." To her, that was the most significant moment, of course. But this also had the added bonus of gaslighting the girls, who must have been thinking that the elephant in the room was all the slagging off of them that Liv had been doing! She seemed to be quite successful in diverting them from any discussion of her own duplicity or nastiness.

I think the girls are very immature in general and no one is willing to stand up to Liv because she will clearly go out of her way to destroy them and get them off the Island. Only Sanam seems to have got the measure of her, but she's in a very weak position with being a casa girl and being quite excluded from the main group. I actually think Sanam and Kai are quite genuinely nice people, but by avoiding Liv they are being pushed out of the group.
