@SwedishEdith that Simran is trans. Just thought he was gay.

A child ruined by his parents

yet he hammered a young woman to death. Because he saw she was vulnerable.

anythinginapinch · 27/02/2023 21:43

I don't think he murdered her because she was vulnerable but because his head is fucked up from an abusive childhood, and made worse by drugs

littlbrowndog · 27/02/2023 21:43

He said he saw that she was vulnerable I think ?

littlbrowndog · 27/02/2023 21:44

So he chose her

anythinginapinch · 27/02/2023 21:44

Yes I think you're right - that he saw she was a junkie?

littlbrowndog · 27/02/2023 21:46

Then he was surprised she fought back. Terrible thing I just wrote. My heart for that girl and for that man who had a terrible upbringing

Hellocatshome · 27/02/2023 21:46

DH gets so angry watching these programmes. He had a junkie mum, tens of "stepdads" who were abusive in various ways and one who took him on drug deals as a kind of human shield. The very last thing he would do is take drugs or be violent having seen the damage that can be done. He thinks a shitty childhood may be one of the reasons people do things but is never THE reason and is certainly not an excuse.

anythinginapinch · 27/02/2023 21:46

I'd send to a Cat D prison but I'm a big softee

Ah, right. I knew Styal prison was a woman's prison.

Thanks hellscat good to know

anythinginapinch · 27/02/2023 21:48

Absolutely, @littlbrowndog. This is a harrowing prog and shows us so much about "the other side" lives, with compassion but sort of straightness too - this stuff actually happened.

I think Simran is probably neurodiverse

anythinginapinch · 27/02/2023 21:50

Simran is all about "oh I had this excuse about what I did then, but I'm changed now". Hmmm I'm not sure. It's rarely his actual fault in his view. He's far too vulnerable to what other people say and do. He's not going to get parole

Toddlerteaplease · 27/02/2023 21:51

That medication story is ridiculous.

I'm impressed by this parole man

WeAreTheHeroes · 27/02/2023 21:53

Simran was lying about the prescription drugs in his room at the AP.

littlbrowndog · 27/02/2023 21:54

It’s hard when a lot of your family don’t mind jail and well.

thats All I want to say

but nobody ever hammered a young girl to death. For drugs

louise5754 · 27/02/2023 21:55

How can you believe anyone up for parole? I know they have the psychiatrist but they would need several long assessments not just 4 hours?

littlbrowndog · 27/02/2023 21:55

For 20 quid so he could get drugs

littlbrowndog · 27/02/2023 21:57

Good am glad he never got out.

soleilblue · 27/02/2023 21:58

Why has Simran not applied to move prisons?

WeAreTheHeroes · 27/02/2023 21:58

There's at least one report prepared by professionals that they read before they interview the person.

littlbrowndog · 27/02/2023 22:01

But you know. You just go back to the same friends and family like you did before

how can this be changed. I dunno. See it in my old family

WeAreTheHeroes · 27/02/2023 22:01

I imagine it's a bit like being in court - there are things you pick up about the person's demeanour in person. We're only seeing a small part of the interviews.

soleilblue · 27/02/2023 21:58

Why has Simran not applied to move prisons?

Because mens prisons are a lot scarier than womens prisons. Thats why most female to male transgender prisoners are happy to stay in the female prison whilst some men will magically suddenly become transgender whilst awaiting trial/sentencing.
