I agree.

He did a good thing with his actions.

His words are irrelevant now as he doesn’t have access to all lines of enquiry.

He is not a criminal investigator and him asking PA if NB had stalkers / enemies is well out of his remit.

What was PF going to actually do with the response and to assume the police haven’t already looked at this line of enquiry just makes him look foolish.

I like Peter Faulding but I do agree with you.

Peter Faulding has taken a huge risk imo by being so outspoken.

If she is found in the water, that will blow his reputation to pieces so we can only assume he REALLY believes what he says.

But his work his done now and so should stop talking.

I've seen the helicopter go over once but it seems the main events are happening on the estuary again.
Nothing new in the local press, they are just talking about the documentary. Nothing on the local Facebook page.

I would imagine that any further new contracts he has with other police forces will include a gagging clause.

the police will need his expertise and he is well respected and connected. He seems like a man true to his word, not a bullshitter. He will have his very own take on the situation and was probably extremely pleased to down the job and cut his losses. I believe him and trust his expertise and gut feeling.

It's odd someone has mentioned Botox. It was one of the first things I noticed about PA last night when I tuned in and mentioned it to my partner. Of course I immediately felt uncomfortable given the subject of the programme. I then looked up PA and NB on Google and could see it's likely they had both used it in the photos I saw. Apologies in advance to everyone that I'm discussing this. It's just in response to the quoted post that I noticed it too.

I imagine if she is found it will be further along the river, the estuary or bay and he’ll say he didn’t search there. Which is true I think.

It does affect how genuine people are perceived to be I think. One of my DC had a headteacher that parents found hard to take to. She was actually really nice but she had Botox around her eyes and it made her smile
look very insincere, as they didn’t change at all when she smiled, I was convinced that was the problem !

I was following the deleted thread and there was some awful unfounded speculation about her partner which apparently (and rightly) ended with deletion. But to be fair to @ofwarren she has been totally measured and respectful throughout.

He seems like the kind of guy who if you ask him a straight question, he gives a straight answer, he definitely came across that way on the show last night. So journalists are asking if she could have been abducted or ran off with a lover and he's saying yes she could have then they make it sound like he's shouting his mouth off.

I don't have an opinion either way as like everyone I really don't know and any speculation I will keep to myself.
Just be aware that what is reported could well be/ is likely to be a response to specific questions the media have asked. Editing can make it look like they've said these things unprompted. I have been media trained so that I could speak to the press on behalf of my company and these are things we've been trained to watch out for. Please take this into consideration before being so judgemental.

He is the classic example of someone who says too much in interviews which makes it very easy for the red tops to do this at his expense. But it is not as if he never said any of those things.

There is also a ring cam photo of her and Willow the dog next to her (not in the boot of the car) on what looks like the driveway.
