Have at it!

Or maybe it's both!

@ChipsAreLife Totally agree, if Ron had done most of the cooking, surely not unreasonable that the others would do more of the cleaning up and I am no fan of Ron's.

I think Shaq and Ron really dislike each other so there can be no resolution of the divide.

Looking at it that way, it would have been better if he'd joined the group, but then teased them about how as he'd done all the cooking they should do all the clearing.

Instead he was a separatist arse

vjg13 · 10/02/2023 11:24

@CarpyDiem yes, Ron is definitely a prize arse!

chronictonic · 10/02/2023 11:29

Ron is a prick. i think he thinks he is coming across as Mr Humble, Earnest & Wise now but he's so transparent & immature, it's cringe worthy watching him talk in his 'grown up' voice

Shaq went a bit overboard though. He's not his Dad.

kenyaswhiterefrigerator · 10/02/2023 11:33

The worst thing is I actually liked Ron for the first few days.

I no longer have faith in my absolute bell end antenna

Me too. I think most people fell for his cheeky chappy act/charm initially

stockpilingallthecheese · 10/02/2023 11:47

With the incompatible couple thing isn't it usually the bottom 2 couples and then they send home one girl and one boy rather than a couple? So obviously Ellie and Jordan but would be interesting to see who the other couple would be.

Well ultimately people will try to keep their favourite couple in so I wouldnt be surprised if Lana and Ron were in the bottom two.. as he's really unpopular now?

I’m hoping Ron and Lana but I think they’ve probably loads of support.
maybe Kai and Olivia?

lemonsaretheonlyfruit · 10/02/2023 12:24

People like the drama don't they? I guess it would be really dull if everyone coupled up early on and it stayed that way. So yes there are plenty of people that support Ron and Lana but I also think people like watching him/ them even if they don't actually like them. Hoping his head gets turned in casa etc (I don't think it will but could be wrong), the Casey triangle etc.

I am not a liv fan but I wouldn't try and vote her out as she's one of the few in there who isn't dull (unlike Kai!) .

Picoloangel · 10/02/2023 12:31

@kenyaswhiterefrigerator I also liked Ron and usually would pride myself on my ability to assess someone’s character. Slightly concerned about my ability to vet DD’s potential suitors in years to come!

Rollergirl11 · 10/02/2023 12:34

I liked Ron to begin with too. He still comes across as amiable and likeable and he can certainly talk a good game. So I can see why girls fall for it. Obviously on the outside he doesn’t have cameras picking up all his bullshit and the nation scrutinising his every move so he no doubt gets away with it.

Shaq is coming on too strong now. Fair enough calling for Ron and sounding off to the other guys but actually going over there made him look like an overbearing parent. I can understand why Tanya was embarrassed. He hasn’t done himself any favours there.

Rollergirl11 · 10/02/2023 12:37

This made me laugh. 🤣🤣

Number4224 · 10/02/2023 12:57

I’m not a Ron fan and initially felt sorry for Casey, but Casey needs to let it go now, you’d think Ron stole his girlfriend, at the end of the day it was Lana that chose Casey when she wasn’t into him. Hope Casey goes tbh. I really liked Shaq but why does he think he’s the boss of the villa, I also get controlling vibes from him.

Rollergirl11 · 10/02/2023 13:10

Seen First look. Shaq really isn’t coming across well. The irony of him complaining that he feels like he’s been told off when that’s all he ever does! He’s definitely looking more and more controlling. But I guess could be a bad edit?

Zampa · 10/02/2023 13:18

I didn't watch last night but I can understand why Shaq is a bit annoyed about how Tanya raised her issues with him, in front of Lana (rather than her tackling his behaviour, which he seemed to apologise for).

TitsInAbsentia · 10/02/2023 13:21

I think Tanya's been spoiling for an out to be honest. I noticed at the coupling her body language was odd when they sat down. And I think she got the ick at Shaq shouting for Ron. So she's just running with that now, and to be honest if he's going to be an utter dick like he seems in first look then RUN TANYA! RUN!

Rollergirl11 · 10/02/2023 13:29

Maybe Tanya didn’t feel comfortable speaking to Shaq about it on her own? It does seem like Shaq never ever thinks he’s in the wrong which could get tiresome and frustrating very quickly.

I do agree with @TitsInAbsentia thought that Tanya may well be looking for an out and this has provided it.

It will be such a shame if Shaq turns out to be a bit of a controlling dick. It was such a breath of fresh air having a male call out other men’s poor behaviour (when they didn’t personally gain from it) on national tv and this will sully it.

Boulshired · 10/02/2023 13:49

Shaq and Ron were both competing for Alpha male in the group. Shaq has overstepped the mark more than once and Ron (with Lana’s help) went into battle with Casey which he won the girl but lost the boys, and Casey hasn’t had to do much as the boys were going off Ron anyway and Ron wasn’t expecting that. He talks about being ostracised but he’s playing his own part in that by bitching with Kai and even the with the dishes he walked away from the boys. Shaq biggest problem is that the drama in the villa is pretty crap that the highlight is over dishes.

Zampa · 10/02/2023 15:17

Arguments over the dishes sums up the future of most of relationships tbf!

However the task was from the start of the cooking until the end of the clearing up. And all the boys should have stayed with the task until it was concluded. How would Ron have felt if the non-cookers had sodded off and sat with the girls whilst he cooked? He should have stayed offering chat, support and entertainment, even if not pulling on the Marigolds himself

CrkdLttrCrkdLttr · 10/02/2023 15:32

Whoever said the producers were trying to get rid of Shaq looks brilliantly correct, if First Look is anything to go by. I’m sure they could have picked other people to feature if they’d wanted.

Is it so they can pair Tanya up with Jordan?

(I was mildly excited when he coupled up with Ellie - only to find myself disappointed …)

EddieHowesBlackandWhiteArmy · 10/02/2023 16:14

I think Tanya is rethinking jumping into this thing with Shaq too heavy too soon but I can’t criticise him for feeling pissed off that Tanya confronted him about it with Lana. There was absolutely no need for Lana to be there, it will have felt like his was being ganged up on and I don’t actually think he was in the wrong at calling Ron out the way he did. Ron’s response of ignoring him to flirt with Lana would have got my blood boiling as well and I absolutely would have stomped over and told him to stop being a dick if in Shaq’s position. If Ron had shouted over and said, I’ll be there in a bit, I did all the cooking man!’ Then I’d have been irritated but ultimately let it lie. It was Ron’s dismissive response that fired Shaq up.

LikeTearsInRain · 10/02/2023 16:16

Tom looking like Brian Blessed LOL I can’t unsee it now

Definitely a produced chat out of nowhere warning Jordan off of Tanyel

The boys divide I think is mainly because of Ron’s behaviour in the triangle. All the unnecessary comments to Casey about winning the battle vs the war and the random speech in the Roman challenge thing - sure pick Lana and give her a snog but why he a complete arrogant dickhead about it and showboat to your love rival? Funny thing is Lana lapped it up and didn’t see an issue with it. She’ll get walked over again and in a year be crying to her friends/family or insta live about the same stuff she said the other week.

This is true.
