I’ll start it then.

Will he return to heap more misery on Scarlet?

I think Nina is a slitheen from Dr Who. She’s going to unzip her human skin suit and show her true form.

Funnily, 'Al' was in a Sarah Jane Adventures episode with the Slitheens. He wasn't one, think he got skinned!Shock

LilyAndTheKing · 21/03/2023 15:13

Poor Al, getting skinned 😞😂

LilyAndTheKing · 21/03/2023 15:14

At least we didn't have to put up with Kirsty and Ruhma today.

LilyAndTheKing · 21/03/2023 15:15

Bear's sticking plaster made an appearance today, I wonder if it's to cover a piercing?

Raahh · 21/03/2023 16:27

Lily I have got to the point where I will put up with 4 days a week of Ruhma, if we don't get Nina or Kirsty. Ok, maybe that's extreme. Grin

I think it was a deliberate ploy by the writers. They have been waiting for the right time to make me like her. Grin.

ByeByeMr · 21/03/2023 16:41

I quite like Nina. Her accent is over the top laughable but I think she's a good character and I can't work her out yet. Anyone else think Al was bloody rude to her though?

martinisforeveryone · 21/03/2023 18:24

Confession. I don't actually mind Ruhma. I know, go figure.

I didn't think Al was as rude as Suni was, walking off when Daniel hadn't concluded his review. If it's true he had to take a call, which didn't actually seem that urgent from what he said, why didn't he excuse himself? That was poor.

Al was forthright, like Nina herself is, but I think it was clear to see her nitpicking and that he was driven to an extreme. For someone at partner status, Nina's approach is bull in a china shop and she didn't like getting it back. Then again, she doesn't know Al, he's equally outspoken to say Zara, but she knows him better. You'd expect Nina to have the sense to feel her way a bit more.

Just catching up with the episodes that I couldn't be bothered to watch last week

I'm on the episode with Nina and Cal.

Luca the Limpet has just made my week by finally splitting up with Jamie.

Not sure being together for five seconds constitutes 'spitting up.' though.

SUBisYodrethwhenLarping · 21/03/2023 19:30

I haven't read the thread yet but just wanted to say that I am convinced that NINA is not a qualified GP or a qualified doctor of any sort
She was at the conference due to admin or secretary or manager type job and just fancied herself as a GP so told Zara that to make herself feel better and important cos her DS qualified so she knew the terms to say and from working at GP as a receptionist or some other non GP role

So think Al has hit the nail on the head with the correct answer that she is so bossy that she deflects any questions about herself

Raahh · 21/03/2023 19:44

SUB oh there really is something off about her, and Zara is going to regret the day she met her.

Bear mentioned something about references not long after Nina/Suni started, and I feel like we will find out he never actually got any references for her - or they haven't done things by the book. It was all very quick.

Nina was very defensive about Al- I don't think he was rude at all. Since she had a petty 17 point list that was nothing to do with his work or performance- but he was not allowed to give feed back to her even though that was the whole point. It was her idea in the first place!

Disappearing off on leave, that she just happened to remember she had booked when she's caused a whole load of ill feeling amongst the staff with her 'peer reviews' was a really unprofessional thing to do.

Raahh · 21/03/2023 20:01

The other thing is- the meeting where they showed Nina 'resigning from the board' at no point said what they did, or what the job was, or what they all did - and didn't reference anything medical . Looking back- it seems almost deliberately vague. So she really could be anyone.

Or I'm reading too much into it, in the hope to find she really is FakeyMcFake from Blackburn and will be leaving in June Grin

JustDanceAddict · 21/03/2023 20:02

Agree, she’s definitely faking it!!

doctorsnoddy · 21/03/2023 22:08

Just watched. What a shambles! There are rules to giving feedback- obviously no one thought to stick to them! What was Nina hoping to achieve?
And Scarlett is still slouching across the furniture! Drives me crazy!

Raahh · 22/03/2023 07:40

doctors yes, when will Scarlett's review be?- because having her feet up on the furniture and generally behaving like she's slobbing in front of the tv , is not a good look.

However, they need to keep her, because the number of 'bad' characters is starting to rapidly out-weigh the 'good' !Grin

Just catching up on yesterday before today’s episode.

I think it showed all doctors observing each other apart from Al and Nina, she wasn’t shown being observed by Al.

Oh that’s being covered now in Bear’s office

I’ve started us a new thread seeing as this would fill up in the first five minutes of today’s episode

https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/telly_addicts/4768783-bbc-doctors-no-no-to-nina-but-suni-can-stay

Thank you!

When did it start doing this big MN logo thing with a thread link?
