Is it weird to say no game spoilers? I've not played the game so don't know the game story line

Who else is watching?

The 1st 2 episodes were really good

But wow. Ep 3 is amazing.

I actually cried over characters I'd known for less than 1 hour

Tess and Joel seem to be suggesting that bill and frank go back to the QZ, though? Suggesting that in the earlier stages they (Tess and Joel) were foraging on behalf of the QZ? Did I misinterpret?

That wasn't my interpretation. Joel was saying that they could provide items from the QZ that B&F would find useful, eg books / medicines / aluminium to mend the fences, and in return B&F had items to trade which J&T could sell on the black market in the QZ (eg fresh produce / meat).

Absolutely loving TLOU, no experience of the game but watching due to the cast. It's clear HBO are throwing everything at it as their next big blockbuster. Loving the 3 episodes we've seen & can't understand the hate for Ep3! The spore kiss in Ep2 made me gag Envy

Did anyone else pick up on the link between the radio genres? When Tess and Joel were visiting Bill & Frank, Frank and Tess say they should have a code to correspond over the radio, and Joel mentioned the radio played 80s. In Ep2? Ellie said 'so 80s means danger/trouble'. Did Frank and Tess invent the musical genres being codes for messages that's used on the QZ illegal radio?

I loved the simplicity of Ellie finding joy in the bad jokes, made me smile.

Just caught up on this. I'm not a gamer and don't know anything about it but it is brilliant! I don't think I've ever cried as much at a tv program as I did at episode 3. Just beautiful.

Really enjoyed episode 4. It felt like Joel was a lot more open in this one, his defences are softening. Loved Ellie’s book of stupid jokes!

Another fabulous episode, and I did cry at the end of this one. I'm gutted now though because instead of having to wait a week to watch again, I've got to wait nine days.

Those infected at the end, they are so fast, that's what creeps me out more than anything.

Who knows when the idea first formed in game developer or writers minds? Science had been talking about intelligent fungus for decades.

TLOU game went into production in 2009. TGWATG short story came out in 2013. How on earth could the game be inspired by a short story that had not been released publicly yet - possibly not even written yet?

Just caught up with ep 4 and 5

Mad that I saw a bit of a spoiler for ep 5 on fb but I didn't know it was out Fri!

So kind of knew what was coming but wow.

Still a total gut punch of an episode
Melanie Lynskey was superb.

I actually much prefer that the infected aren't ever present.

Although I could totally see how the scene were Joel was sniping would play in the game lol. Bet there was lots of controllers chucked across the room at the inevitable game over

Was the clicker (I think that's the right name) who got in the car with Ellie a kid?

So frustrating having to wait a whole week again!

Yes, it was a child clicker, which I don’t remember seeing in the game.

My brother a big gamer said the first game of this was amazing. But the second terrible. Can other gamers confirm? He refused to buy the second one, they'd completely ruined it he said.

No idea, I'm not a gamer. I think he was so pissed off about the direction they'd gone in. I guess from reading reviews?

I’d never heard of the game, was just excited to see another zombie/apocalypse series coming out.

I have really liked each episode so far. They’ve done a really good job of covering timelines and where each character “is” at each point in the timeline.

Episode 3 was amazing. Can’t believe I cared so much about them both, just from one episode. Like others, I was very wary of Frank at first. I really thought he was going to go for the gun when he embraced Bill after playing the piano. I also thought we were going down the route of the mother and baby. Was so sad to see the material from her dress and being left to imagine what exactly happened.

I knew I recognised Pablo Pascale, but just couldn’t put my finger on it. I gave up and googled and then, obviously, remembered. I really like it when an actor from a show I’ve loved takes on a new character and I can’t place them - I hate watching something where I just can’t help seeing “previous character”.

I did recognise Bella Ramsey without searching (and thought she was great in GoT), but again, she’s got me hooked enough that I’m not thinking about GoT.

Am looking forward to the next episode and the rest of the series.

She’s still Mildred Hubble to me
