Some were saying in here about Catherine dying before she retires. I don't think she will , perhaps she'll kill TLR though . I could be entirely wrong , often am !

I think the cops will go to the pharmacy to enquire about the drugs, Faisal will panic thinking it's about Jo's murder. He'll run and Nick the truck from Alison's but fall foul of the clutch and crash into Rob again this time killing both of them.

I don't think the “Am I coming in?” was respect OR sarcasm, I think it was just a general wtf is going on, are you going to say something or what??

@Pantsomime TLR got the phone when someone created a diversion in the canteen. The newsagent store was called Rico or something with the message present or presents for Ryan, which was obviously the bike and cycling stuff for his escape. Just shows you how many people are part of the network.

I thought TLR was thrown by the juxtaposition between the seemingly frail, elderly man pulling up, parking and unloading his car and the bad ass chopping beetroot. Nothing was as he expected.

We've been told the ending is melancholy. Perhaps Ryan somehow finds the missing money and decides to move away from all these people? Or he and Clare go away together?

I think it's all showing us how out of control he is, and that he's realising that, after feeling like the big bad man for busting out of court. He's at their mercy, but hasn't really fully realised that.

Really hope it's not Catherine that dies.

I've just listened to the latest episode of the Shrine Happy Valley podcast and it was an interview with the director of the last 3 episodes.
Obvs he couldnt say much but he said something like people will be satisfied with the ending and definitely no more seasons. It's a good listen. Interesting

I've just rewatched the bit in Ep 4 where Rob brings the chidren back home and realises Joanna is missing.Poppy stops in the hall and hesitates looking off the the side but previously someone said she was staring at a brown suede jacket.Faisals they thought.However we don't see what , if anything ,she is looking at.And the brown jacket is actually hanging on a door handle upstairs in the bedroom when Rob runs up there to look for Jo.
I got the impression Poppy just hung back as she hated seeing how Rob spoke to her mum,and he was already annoyed at having to pick them up.That 's the clever thing about HV.So many nuanced moments and details.I rewatched Series1 and 2 before this new one and got so much more from them than the initial viewing.

The bit with Darius and TLR was so good. I thought the whiskey was going to be drugged and Tommy would wake up in the middle of nowhere!

Im wondering who the bride is going to be in Wedding of the year. The teacher/TA we haven't seen this series?

I'd love it if the next episode opened with TLR's sinister voice and Ryan's face in the dark, listening to all his father's plans. Then the camera pans across to Clare on the settee next to him, knitting and yawning, Neil trying to eat some Cheesy Wotsits without crunching and giving the game away, and Nev doing a sudoku, stopping now and then to scribble the odd detail about the big escape on the back of the Daily Express.

I though that TLR would be drugged too

I don't think we're going to see the wedding. If I remember rightly, the first mention of it was when Thug Ivan told Faisal he'd be back to collect his drugs money on Thursday rather than Wednesday because he was getting married on the Wednesday. I think it's been in there every so often as a gentle humanising touch to the hapless thugs plot line.

I also think Ivan will not be turning up at the pharmacy to collect his money on Thursday (because dead or scarpered with allotment cash) and it will mean Faisal killed poor Joanna for absolutely nothing.
