I don't think Sally W wrote that as a throwaway line. Just not sure if CC and TLR will both be dying at the time, or just TLR.

In one of the frenzied Faisal flashback sequences last night did anyone notice Faisal chucking the used syringe under the fridge freezer? I haven't gone back to check whether I imagined it, but once they find that with his DNA on isn't that Neckbeard off the hook?

It was the phone he chucked but you've reminded me I think there was liquid in the syringe not just air.

I don't think Poppy's coat hides anything physical. She must take it off at school, etc. it's something psychological that makes her wear it at home, I think.

I'm wondering if Beetroot Man (who is obviously as hard as nails and with a lifetime in the Stasi/KGB/ NKVD/ criminal underworld behind him - probably as a torturer) is keeping an eye on TLR via the "f*cking wi-fi" and knows he is in danger of revealing his whereabouts, putting the OCG in danger.

Maybe he eviscerates Tommy with his beetroot knife.

If there are 4 different endings, I hope that they will show the alternative ones over the next few weeks as a consolation prize for missing the wedding not getting another series.

Then we can vote on which one we like the best.

Pardon me for quoting myself (narcissistic tendencies, obviously) but in the interests of full disclosure I should say we would often add "old" before it, like the Irish PP said.

It feels like it should be another three episodes at least. Loose ends with how it looked as though the PE teacher would groom Ryan etc.

I think the ending needs Ryan definitively turning away from his dad, whether turning him in, saving Catherine from him etc. So far it has been Catherine saving him while simultaneously worrying how much of his father is within him / seeing what happened to her daughter. We see her being breathtakingly compassionate to people and situations that you might think she’d be hardened too - double de-clutch lady after she shot her son. The murderous CID cop etc but seemingly finding it hard in this series to keep extending that to the people close to her, Ryan, Claire, Ann etc - it seems that she’s not just retiring from the job but in some ways from her family, saving herself.

So I think Ryan needs to save himself from his father, and perhaps Catherine too for there to be a truly satisfying ending. I hope there is, it was so sad when he sad I love you to Catherine and she didn’t say it back. A million British mother’s hearts simultaneously broke!

The fact they've filmed four different endings worries me a bit. Makes me think SW wasn't sure which was the way to go. I thought she'd have had a 'this is definitely the way it pans out' ending cemented in her mind.

I heard it was to prevent spoilers leaking but I could be wrong.

The alternative endings will all be available on the Series 3 DVD apparently.

I agree that beetroot man is not to be trifled with.

Something occurred to me last night that another pp has mentioned - how is Catherine going to travel the world with Ryan still so young and at home? We already know Claire and Neil don’t really have room for him.
