Are we ready for a bit more lusting over Phil and Kevin (and a bit of bitching about houses too)?

2 minutes to go. Place your bets on the type of muppets they have on this week.......

Lapin, I LOVED the pumping station and the people doing it were fantastic.

Violin Factory woman was the worst kind of arrogant, egotistical cow I've ever seen.

Have now made mental note to visit Powis Castle to assess level of gothicicity.

expatinscotland · 06/02/2008 21:10

Excellent. Just when I wonder if I dance on the edges of sanity, someone comes along who is clearly much less sane than me. These people are bonkers.

Love Kevin's gentle implication that they may have got the "scale" wrong.

Hassled · 06/02/2008 21:12

SHe must be on horse tranquilizers at the very least - scarily zen.
And yes, it does look a bit Disney to me.

Olihan · 06/02/2008 21:12

I think they need some kind of drawing of the house, don't they? You know the ones, line drawings of what goes where that sort of thing. What are they called?

Ah, that's right, PLANS.

lyra - the tower only got central heating last week - it will be my nursery - it is one of the bedrooms!

my cellar is gothic too! it has stained glass windows - used to be a vicarage!

expatinscotland · 06/02/2008 21:14

there's a lot of authentic Gothic around here.

and a lot of damp and rot to go with it!

Olihan · 06/02/2008 21:15

Yes! They just had the shell, didn't they, and did the whole thing themselves. Amazing people.

I also loved Doug and Deni who saw a ruined chateau in France on the web, bought it and renovated it single handedly. He learnt how to build a staircase from a book.
