I'm sure I'm not the demographic it was aimed at (mid 40s) but I really enjoyed it. Bit cliched in parts.

Found it maddening to begin trying to place who the Lockwood character sounded exactly like!

DH, the DC and I have watched it all the way through twice and are keeping our fingers crossed for a second series.

It was a fantastic adaptation of a fantastic series of books. DS wants someone to make a Lockwood & Co computer game too.

One of the advantages of having read all the books is that we know what’s behind the locked door…

I'm going to start on the books as soon as I've watched the last episode. Don't want to spoil anything for myself! Although I'm guessing that a lot of things like the locked door and (possibly) Lucy's parentage would be dealt with in a second series if there is one.

I really hope this gets picked up by another company 😥

Oh no. That’s disappointing. Am going to have to get the books as need to know what happens next.

That's disappointing. Another one who will need to read the books now. I need to find out what's behind the door...

Oh that's a shame!

Oh definitely read the books. Jonathan Stroud is wonderful at creating a convincing alternative world and a gripping plot.

But I am very disappointed there won’t be a second series. I liked the books so much that I was always going to be hard to please, but I thought the cast, director and production team did a marvellous adaptation of the first two titles.

The television George in particular, has now become the George in my mind’s eye, rather than the book one.

I am still miffed that Twin Peaks was cut off in its prime all those years ago. I’ll now be equally miffed about Lockwood and Co.

That's a real shame it's not been renewed, I really enjoyed it and thought all the leads did really well.

Did anyone watch the American show Locke & Key about the family who move to a spooky house after the Dad dies and find a load of magic keys? The kids can witness the magic but the adults can't?

It had 3 or 4 seasons. I enjoyed it.

Probably doesn't have much in common with this other than "Lock" in the name!
