Starts here in Oz 30th January so thought I'd give everyone a heads up if you're watching in real time with us.

In case anyone needs a reminder this will be the spoiler/up to date thread. Someone else can start the UK pace one.

Remind me what time the next episode should be ready in the UK on Sunday? I've no idea because I've watched on catch-up at all sorts of times.

Lunchtime 🤞

Me too. Sounds as though Brontë has had an awful time. If what was on the podcast was true she's going to need therapy.

Have just listened to the really long one about Bronte - oh my god! That's horrendous, the producers are disgusting in their behaviour. I feel like I should stop watching but argh...I had to laugh at Harrison phoning his mum for advice (she's a life coach apparently!) everytime something happened...can't see her getting much work in future if that's the kind of advice she gives!

Majorityofthree23 · 17/03/2023 07:51

Harrison has not exactly been brought up to treat people with respect and kindness... think he definitely should stop listening to his mum!

LoveMAFS · 17/03/2023 13:22

Bronte's revenge

Majorityofthree23 · 17/03/2023 13:37

And there was us thinking they were looking for love.....

Trailer for Sunday looks great! John really seems to not like Layton and maybe Harrison finally gets a grilling. Surely the end for Bronte and Harrison...surely. Will take myself off to watch as a Mother's Day treat!

I think Brontë and Harrison both say yes

LoveMAFS · 19/03/2023 10:09

Ollie or Duncan? Which one would you pick personally? I've warmed to Ollie more and more. Duncan is very handsome and soft in character but I'm wondering if there's another side to him that isn't so great if he has friends like Harrison..

StartupRepair · 19/03/2023 10:36

It's a pretty wild and frustrating episode. Get ready to shout at your tv.

Is that ep 29? It’s not up yet so it’s my afternoon viewing.

Duncan from what we've actually seen though think ollie would make a great friend!

What a pair of self-serving publicity hungry twats.

Mel asked, "why do you keep writing stay?' I think the truthful answer would be for the blue tick.

Majorityofthree23 · 19/03/2023 15:44

Quite the episode.
Mel and Layton. Think there is still hope
Ollie and Tahnee . Love them
Evelyn and Rupe. Not convinced but love that she called out H.
Alyssa and Duncan. Still think he should run run run as she's so selfish and never going to change.
Lyndall and Cam. He's just not that into you and she deserves better.
Harrison and Brontë. Words fail me!

All of the above ⬆️

Evelyn does not fancy Rupert in the least. She wants him to 'woo' her for her own ego.

Alyssa managing to turn Duncan being upset into being all about her was scary to watch. She's hard, hard work.

Cam is checked out, but doesn't want to look like the bad guy to the whole of the world. He's failing. No one likes watching him string a brilliant woman along.

Harrison's face at the very end of that episode just said 'shit. I've miscalculated, I look bad and I can't wriggle out of it this time'

I thought Mel was pretty good this episode. She caught him out on his own 'boundaries' and hoist him by his own petard. That was quite satisfying. She got him without having to go in too hard.

I do wish someone had pointed out that Bronte said she's been manipulated by him (and then withdrew that statement^ at the
CC) because she is constantly manipulated by him and was even manipulated by him to withdraw that accurate^ statement!
^
Brontë is a massive faker, though. She has insight into Harrison's behaviour and she is not totally sucked in. She doesn't at all have the hostage demeanour Melissa had with Bryce. She knows what she's doing and she's choosing this.^

Tribollite · 19/03/2023 16:38

I'd love to know how much Bronte and Harrison cook their approach up between them.

It's clear she knew his game and decided to take the victim mentality. How much did he know about how much she was faking though? did they decide each week 'hmmm, not let's look lovey-dovey this week so we look real, then argue next week' etc. And were they actually having some kind of relationship or just colleagues in trolling for fame.

I love Ollie - I barely noticed him in the first dozen episodes, but he would be my clear favourite to marry out of all them now. And then Duncan. Cam has fallen far down my list from being near the top at the beginning, I'm finding him verging on obnoxious now. And an honourable mention for Jesse even though he's not in it any more, and I have a big soft spot for him.

Blossomtoes · 19/03/2023 19:36

That’s brilliant. Thank you for the link @StartupRepair.

Just watched the committment ceremony...all I can say is thank f for Ollie and Tahnee. If these couples actually put what they wanted to do rather than thinking of the money (fame?! pah...) O&T would be the only couple left and the producers would be up shit creek.

Sagealicious · 20/03/2023 11:17

So Cam will never be around because he'll be working remote but also has time to catch up with his mate every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday...

Did anyone else think the Tahnee and Allie part was a bit weird? I reckon the producers have gone:
”Right Tahnee and Ollie. Going far too good. We can’t have this. Let’s create a problem. Thoughts?”
”How about she feels insecure after the couple swap?”
”Nah we already have 4 insecure women storylines. But why don’t we make Ollie the insecure one?”
”Great idea! Shall you tell them or shall I?”

Cam js such a disappointment.

Lovely, uncomplicated Lyndall has an actual life limiting condition - and he’s like “meh I’ll see you in a year maybe?”.
dick

lifeissweet · 20/03/2023 12:57

Alyssa:

'My Child, my child, my child, my child...'

I think she might have a child, although she hasn't mentioned it.

I think she's probably the only woman in the history of Australia who has had a relationship while also having a child.

So many people navigate this exact situation. Every day. With minimal drama.

She's a whiny pain in the arse and shouldn't have been allowed to participate. I think that about most of these people with small children, actually.

lifeissweet · 20/03/2023 12:59

My word. What do Duncan's parents look like?! Those are some seriously good genes. His sister is beautiful - and they seem close too.

He is definitely a MAFS unicorn. I'd marry him. Despite my child.
