Alan Cumming, amazing actor (if in any doubt watch My Old School, his lip syncing is faultless) He’s no Davina tho, playing it like Macbeth! He waltzes in and out but he hasn’t yet shown much empathy.

Cummings is from Aberfeldy in Perthshire - a very different accent to Glasgow. I saw him live a few times back in the 1980s. If he's "putting on" an accent, it's the same one he's been putting on for over 40 years.

I know where he is from and regardless of the fact that I am from Glasgow, Ihave a very good understanding of the different accent from across Scotland. What you think I was born in Glasgow and just stayed there my entire life and never heard another accent? I have lived in Scotland my whole life and have lived in various cities and towns in that time. I have traveled across all of Scotland including the Highlands and Islands. He absolutely is putting on an over dramatised Scottish accent. It sounds ridiculous and it's embarrassing to listen to as a Scottish person as people from across the world are going to think this is how we speak when it's not. Yes there are lost of different accents across Scotland but the way he overly pronounces words and can't for some reason say the word"dollars" like a normal human is cringe. He just needs to speak with his normal accent without trying to make it sounds more dramatic. So many people in this thread saying the same or similar things so clearly not just me picking up on it.

Well there you go....its so obviously over dramatised and its really off-putting. I started watching this for the first time a few nights ago after watching the UK version and as soon as AC started speaking I didn't know if I could continue watching as it was so annoying to listen to. I kept watching but generally skip past the parts where he speaks haha
