Genius idea putting some reality tv people in their too, they’re already schooled in TV manipulation!

Alan Cumming, amazing actor (if in any doubt watch My Old School, his lip syncing is faultless) He’s no Davina tho, playing it like Macbeth! He waltzes in and out but he hasn’t yet shown much empathy.

Ah, got my autumn comment wrong then! It makes sense that they’d film close together though, as they’ll have all the mission stuff set up.

I did chuckle at how well wrapped up some of them were - different climate in the Highlands guys, you ain’t in California now!

I’m onto episode 3, I’m a below deck fan so absolutely loved Kate Chastain anyway coming into this and that hasn’t changed. Loud traitor is annoying AF. Not sure the traitors are playing it as well as in the U.K. version so far.

Why did they choose Alan Cumming to host out of all the people in the world?! He's really hamming the accent up like Gino D'Acampo and his annoying exaggerated Italian pronunciation.

I don't think I can watch. I might at least leave it a while until the UK traitors isn't so fresh in my mind. I think the Australian one might be better for me.

Watched the first couple of episodes. Though Alan Cumming was just doing a Scottish accent and it annoyed me but looked him up and was surprised he is Scottish.

Also disappointed it is the same challenges. I don’t know any of the celebrity guests but that might be a good thing. Just about to start episode 3.

I’m assuming AC got the job because a) he’s Scottish and they can do the whole “Scottish Laird” thing and b) he’s a known face for US audiences.

As amazing as Claudia is and would be in the role US audiences wouldn’t have a clue who she is and the networks won’t like that on a ratings basis.

What was different and good about the UK one was the dynamic of the group. Normal people who worked together for the missions and then played the round table well

The US one is becoming a “typical” reality show with people playing a role and the backstabbing and bitching

I hope the second series of the UK one doesn’t turn out to be like this

Will finish bingeing tonight, currently at work. Stayed up far too late last night/ this morning watching it.

To be fair I fast forwarded through most of the tasks , having seen them on the U K version and it appeared 95% of them was just shouting and squealing

I am mesmerised by Cody's chin, Kate's outfits and Andie's blandness ( although she seems sincere and charming).

Agree with everything said about AC - there's more than a whiff of Quentin Crisp about him in some scenes.

It's not a patch on the UK version. They're all so far up their own arses, none of them are even remotely likeable, and I can't fucking stand Alan Cumming with his stupid fake accent 😤

Only watched 2 episodes and not too sure if we will carry on-though I did feel like this around this point with the Australian version.
Annoyed it is almost a carbon copy of the Brit one.
I love Micheal's accent although nope I can hardly make anything he says out(it is amusing after a few wines when we try to copy him!!)
Why did Kate need a huge bag with her?
Think Cody has a look of Gorka/John Travolta.
I like Christian but not sure how long he will last in the game.

We finished too. Definitely not as good as UK but had its moments. Will miss Kate’s eye rolls every time Rachel opened her mouth 😂

Will look forward to discussing how it compared overall to the UK one when people have watched the whole thing
