There must be SOMETHING worth watching?!

I like police/crime and medical dramas (prefer American to British). I like
things such as Grey’s, Criminal minds, Chicago PD/ fire, Law and Order etc. (I haven’t mentioned them all but have watched most including spin offs).

I loved things like Castle too. I also like things like Silent Witness, Death in Paradise. I don’t mind crime based either e.g. I loved ‘For the People’. Shame to was cancelled after two seasons!

Ive already binge watched all 7 episodes of the new Waterloo road.

Nothing new out seems to be capturing my attention. There must be something I haven’t seen or is worth a watch. I have Netflix, Disney+, Now tv and Prime.

Everything I’ve tried this side of new year has been dreadful (Knives Out, Kaleidoscope, Happy Valley, The Light in the hall) have all been dreadful.

Hoping someone will have something that’s worth a watch!

Mindhunter on Netflix. Absolutely brilliant. It’s about how the behavioural science unit at the FBI was formed.

Spiral brilliant.
Second all Apple TV recommendations - I may cancel though as it’s gone up from £4.99 to £6.99 and I’ve watched all the recommendations. No one’s mentioned the shrink next door - very good. The morning show, Ted lasso, bad horses, blackbird and bad sisters.
Thanks for all other recommendations.

This ☝️This is the first negative comment I have heard about Happy Valley.

It has won BAFTAS and all sorts. It’s a fantastic series and Sarah Lancashire smashes it as does the supporting cast.

I loves it I do.

As do I. Seriously good.

Also

Strike series (iplayer)
Babylon Berlin
Karen Pirie (itv)
Good Wife (all4)
The Bridge

There is a new series of You coming and another programme called The Last of Us

I loved Severance and the Watcher was worth a watch.

The Patient on disney+. Steve Carell as a psychiatrist kidnapped by his serial killer patient. Not a comedy series.

Shtisel on Netflix - 3 seasons about an Ultra Orthodox family in Jerusalem. In Hebrew & Yiddish, with English subtitles.
Gentle, engrossing, with some humour too. I have watched the whole thing 3 times - possibly the best thing I have seen since Brideshead Revisited in the 80s, and I am not exaggerating.

Also, the gorgeous lead actor, Michael Aloni, is in The Beauty Queen of Jerusalem (Netflix), which is enjoyable but a bit soapy.

Mayor of Kingstown on paramount+

mrwalkensir · 15/01/2023 14:40

Netflix - "The Glory", "Sweet Home" and "Kingdom" - all Korean and wonderful. Also food programmes on there like "Korean Cold Noodle Rhapsody" are interesting.

Mayor of Kingstown on paramount+

We loved this!

The last ship on Prime

Stars Eric Dane (McSteamy/Mark Sloane from Greys Anatomy) it’s about a pandemic that sweeps the world and a navy ship sent on secret mission to find the cure. There are 5 seasons on Prime so plenty to get stuck into. I’m currently on season 3 and really enjoying it.

Murder in the first (Channel 5 on demand). San Francisco-set police and legal drama. Same writer as the legendary Murder One

LordSugarTits · 16/01/2023 17:05

Quantico

RedRiverShore3 · 17/01/2023 06:55

I'm ploughing through Call the Midwife at the moment, I've never seen it but I am putting some of these on my list to watch next, first up will be Mayor of Kingstown

Clarabellawilliamson · 17/01/2023 07:01

Just watched without sin on itvX - Vicky McClure's new venture. It's no line of duty but kept me guessing and it's only 4 episodes.

frostyfours · 18/01/2023 12:50

Have you tried The Missing (2 seasons) on Netflix? Very very hard watch (child abduction theme) but brilliantly acted. There's a spin off too called Baptiste.

frostyfours · 18/01/2023 22:08

Having second thoughts about the missing as it's utterly depressing!

OnceBitten25 · 18/01/2023 23:48

I recently binged "Code Black" on Disney. An American medical drama - loved it!
