Land Rover Discovery 😲

When she arrived at her Mum’s, yes.

But a Porsche when she left for the doctor’s with Ellie?

Yay! Kit drums exactly what is needed in that house 😂

two really expensive cars. It’s alright for some.

Drumming! WTF I get a headache watching the family with the sound turned down to 2

Report

DoesItMakeYouFeelBetter · 12/03/2023 20:57

The drumming idea was madness. That house is so stressful without the sound of terrible drumming.

Watching now. Still can’t see episode 9 though!

I never followed them right from the start. I’m just having a watch of the episode from 16 kids and counting. They said they spend £3000 a year on birthday presents. That’s insane. Nearly £500 a child.

Tattle is a real eye opener.

I wonder if it was actually Noel's dad who wanted the meeting secret, rather than Noel.
Noel and Sue don't seem to mind anything being public and I don't remember seeing Noel's dad before

I've not really been watching this series but there wasn't much else on tonight.

I do hope they get the kids those electric drumkits with headphones otherwise they would be unbearable in that house.

I thought Noel exploring his adoption is interesting. I wonder if this is something the producers are wanting to make it interesting. Both of them were very quick to argue having a big family has nothing to do with their backgrounds. But then all the wanting all the kids genetics testing seemed odd and Noel obviously couldn't explain how he felt about his own adoption. So I do think there is a lot of stuff there that has influenced their decision to grow their family constantly.

They said we never had a conversation saying 'oh let's have lots of children because we were adopted' but I don't think that's what people mean is it!
People mean that they must have this subconscious need for lots of children which is linked to the adoption but it might not be a conscious link to the adoption

It's a bit of a low using cancer as content🙄😡

Report

It's also low using autism for content and linking it to 'naughty' and violent. It is ignorant at best.

Agreed. Disgusting.

It's possible the autism comment was due to misunderstanding on Oscar's part (I think it's Oscar?). I know my mate's child has autism and has come out with a variation of a comment like this once and has other misunderstandings about what autism means for him.

I have two girls with autism and found the comment Max made about autism coming with bad behaviour really offensive. I’ve fought hard for school not to see the girls behaviour as bad but it’s something that happens when they’re struggling because their needs aren’t being met. One of them is the same age as Max. Personally think they should’ve edited that out. I do think it would be very unlikely in such a big family to only have one child who was autistic.

More staged medical emergencies. This is the lowest of the low. Driving a fully made-up Ellie to the doctors, then supposedly coming out (Ellie’s makeup all gone) and announcing the diagnosis.

OMG the scene where they’re in bed discussing adoption investigation, both fully clothed with the covers pulled up. Sack the junior member of the production team who thought up that idea!

And what a missed opportunity. Noel says their adoptions isn’t the reason they’ve got so many children. Huge question coming up - WHAT IS THE REASON THEN???? Except it was never asked.

Drumming on loaned drums for about ten minutes to stop Caspar & Oscar fighting each other – FFS. Max confidently saying their bad behaviour is because they've both got autism - Double FFS. And LOL - “Caring for rabbits” Radford-style means looking at them while badly reciting some prepared lines.

Noel “somehow ended up in Stockport” – no. The camera crew told him where to go, where to park and what lines to say.

My heart sank when I heard there’ll be another series! I’m interested in one thing only – the horrified reaction of Noel’s poor birth mother!

On another note,Sue away on yet another break in that bloody motorhome, while not seeming to care that her oldest was threatening to throw himself off a bridge over the weekend. What a perfect mother she is 😡 As long as she's all toasty in her motorhome 🙄😡

The thing about the tattle threads is there seems to be quite a lot of jealousy on there from the way I've read it. They are also going on about the suscidal lad but if you had lots of people saying your father raped your mother and your father was a peado can you imagine what that does to those children? Yes it's wrong it happened , yes she was underage but they are both still together donkeys years later. I do feel sorry for the children, it's not great seeing them bouncing all over the sofas and standing on the windowsills it does seem like there's a lack of discipline. I do think both Sue and Noel seem to have some sort of learning disability even if mild.

That doesn’t make it right. She was a child, literally just out into her teens when she got pregnant. I couldn’t give a monkeys that they stayed together, he still raped her because she was far too young to be able to consent to sex. He should have known better.

I feel horrendously sorry for Chris. The alleged suicide attempt at the weekend wasn’t the first apparently, but Sue and Noel seem more concerned with their image instead of helping him. Of course he’s going to have mental health problems. He’s known all his life about his conception, he was thrown out of the house at a young age, he’s never had the support or even the treats and presents his siblings get. His parents don’t even bother with his kids fgs.

They’re off to Florida again in April, that’s 3 times in year. That money could be far better spent getting their firstborn the help he so desperately needs. Your responsibilities to your children don’t stop once they’ve hit eighteen, especially when you’ve pimped them out to the media and earned a living exploiting them.

I read the tattle threads on the back of this thread. They have the former DIL of Sue and Noel on it- now granted there is clearly alot of bad blood between them all and neither side seem particularly measured and thoughtful, but the screen shots of Sue's messages to the former DIL are pretty unpleasant. (And vice versa tbf)

No it doesn't make it right, you are unfortunately only getting one side of the story when it comes to Chris, I don't know what the story is as I don't know them, however anyone can say anything online and you wouldn't have a clue whever it was true or not.

That's what I'm saying I just think its unfair that it's all one sided. I mean who cares if they have been to Florida 3 times? Big deal! I personally would not use my children to make TV the way they have but obviously they have made themselves a better life in a lot of ways by doing it but at the same time it's left them open to lots of abuse and ultimately they will all suffer.
