New thread for new series

obviously all this has happened in the past year

they would have been better filming this as it happened and showing it

as we have seen all their trips on Facebook and instagram if on it

E 1 - Chloe’s pregnancy takes a worrying turn

Watched Sunday's episode last night. That was really dire. Barely saw the kids at all. I was grossed out when noel shut the hotel door aswell.

Jas5mum · 27/01/2023 01:18

I think instead of a baby every year it will be another puppy. They have 5 now or is it 6 with cookie?
I agree its got too set up and scripted now but my biggest bug bear is the not flowing time line
Just show the stuff in the order that it happened! They got a swimming pool but then the next week it wasn't there and sofas were in its place. When they were discussing the motorhome they showed a shot of it already parked outside the house!
Bet next week they won't mention they went on a last minute Florida holiday at easter but the camera crew couldn't go as too short notice!
I feel like I could edit better than these monkeys! Sometimes the top of the house is black and other times red. Frustrating!

Some of the things on here are way past what is acceptable, insulting the children's hair and teeth and speculating about possible fetal alcohol syndrome. No one's place to speculate about that.

flapjackfairy · 28/01/2023 08:08

@bottleofbeer
You are way off base discussing her potential disabilities at all frankly.

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/01/2023 10:31

I agree I don't like the way this thread is turning out

Can we just discuss the show - yes maybe a fake show and we know most of what has happened due to social media

Don’t you need certain skills to move to the US? Not sure pie making would cut it.

not sure about US but Australia you need certain skills. they've got no intention of moving to the US it's all bollocks set up for the TV show. this series is ridiculous.

bottleofbeer · 28/01/2023 12:16

Yet it's acceptable to speculate how many of the kids have ASD? Odd.

RichardOsmansXraySpecs · 28/01/2023 16:24

Oh no what have I missed?

I just saw a FB trailer for the show, where they were viewing a house in Florida. They kept telling the estate agent "yeah, we have 22 kids to fit in" - why?! Sadly one of them died at birth, but of the rest, there are at least 3 with their own kids and partners (or at least, co-parents) - they're hardly going to come. And surely the older lads wouldn't want to suddenly move to Florida with their parents; they must have their own lives and jobs. You'd be talking maximum 15 kids, probably not even that (how many of them are still under 18?).

The comments on the trailer are hilarious; it clearly shows the kids rampaging around everywhere and then the comments are all "what lovely polite children!".

And one of the girls at least looked mortified to be on tv - she looked to be a young teen maybe?

RichardOsmansXraySpecs · 29/01/2023 11:19

Yes it's not on using your dead child to up the figures of your 'brand' 😡

purpleme12 · 29/01/2023 11:56

Well I'd hardly call it that. A lot of people would include their child who's died in the numbers if you ask them how many children they have. Bit below the belt again

Yes, if someone asks how many children you have, of course you include all of them. But in this case it's in reference to how many bedrooms they need - so why are they including anyone other than the ones living at home?

purpleme12 · 29/01/2023 12:26

Slightly different to the post above though isn't it

Of course you class your dead child in how many DC you have. But not when you’re asked how many bedrooms you need for a house…

purpleme12 · 29/01/2023 14:57

No. However I did not realise you were referring to that. Your post mentioned 'brand' which I thought referred to the brand as a whole and you were saying they shouldn't be saying they had 22 children....

RichardOsmansXraySpecs · 29/01/2023 14:57

…or when they’re travelling, getting ready for school, everyday life - 22 kids to look after. Well it’s not 22 kids, it was only ever unfortunately 21 and of those 21, most are grown up and don’t need looking after. So I stand by my comment above (however clumsy it was) that they use the “22 kids and counting” brand to make it sound like they have 22 kids all at the same time. The kids range in age from 34 - 2 so they were never kids all at the same time anyway.

purpleme12 · 29/01/2023 14:58

So I was correct anyway then. Oh dear

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/01/2023 19:47

Anyway. Tonight's e4

Sue is unsettled after not finding her dream home in the countryside so suggests a new life in Florida

I'm starting to believe that Channel 5 are trolling them. Eg They say things that sound lovely but which they know will go down badly with viewers. Or the episode in the last series where one of the kids was jumping on Tillie's guitar; they didn't mention it, but showed it happening, almost like it was being presented without comment for viewers to draw their own conclusions. Or like showing Millie getting her parents home from holiday when the baby was clearly fine; they sort of presented it like Noel and Sue were such great parents, but actually it made Millie look a bit clueless.

EyesOnThePies · 29/01/2023 20:18

Where is the massive swimming pool that was craned into the garden for the episode when Sue took up swimming?

It seems to have vanished.

EyesOnThePies · 29/01/2023 20:41

Imagine the cost of the private health insurance policies they would have to pay for in the U.S.

Ludicrous.

cushioncovers · 29/01/2023 20:45

What would they do in Florida? There's no way they're going to move there.
