New thread for new series

obviously all this has happened in the past year

they would have been better filming this as it happened and showing it

as we have seen all their trips on Facebook and instagram if on it

E 1 - Chloe’s pregnancy takes a worrying turn

Why would I claim such a thing if it’s not true and what facts say I have denied anyone lol seriously no point arguing with you 🤣

If it were true you would know that child benefit is paid for however many children you have. My neighbours have 4 children and get child benefit for all of them even though 2 were born after 2017.

Posters have put up screen shots which prove it.

Sumthingsweet · 16/01/2023 20:49

Oh my goodness if your neighbhours say that then it must be true 🤷🏻‍♀️honestly

Sumthingsweet · 16/01/2023 20:50

Will leave you to it ladies no reason to lie but as I say you can choose to believe next doors

purpleme12 · 16/01/2023 20:53

strumpert · 16/01/2023 20:35

Well my neighbours obviously know more than you do. Just google it and you will see you are wrong (and arrogant)

Spoldge45 · 16/01/2023 21:00

Does Millie have a job? I'm guessing not as she has 2 very young children?

I missed the start of the program, did they say how she is going to pay the rent?

Assume benefits

sumthingsweet For the avoidance of doubt, can you confirm what you’re referring to as child benefit? Child benefit is widely known as an allowance of I think around £20 for first children and around £15 for subsequent (apologies if I’ve got the figures wrong). You could have 20 children, born both before and after 2017 and they’d all be entitled to this weekly payment. Are you referring to something else? I just find it hard to fathom that someone that apparently processes the claims doesn’t know this incredibly basic information. I can only assume that we’ve all got our wires crossed and you’re actually referring to something else.

tashx · 16/01/2023 21:54

Why are you all
Arguing over child benefit?

Everyone gets child benefit
If you work
Or
If you don't work
What does it matter

Namechangedforthisonetoday · 16/01/2023 21:55

tashx I don’t get child benefit. If you earn over a certain amount you are not entitled to it.

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/01/2023 21:56

Because @Sumthingsweet said she’s works in this area and cb isn’t given fir over 2kids

and it is

so if she works for benefits she knows bugger all

But sumthingsweet wants an argument and everyone's giving her what she wants

tashx · 16/01/2023 22:07

@Blondeshavemorefun
I think people
Are getting confused
About
Child benefit
And
Child tax credits

OneFrenchEgg · 16/01/2023 22:14

Child benefit
Payable to a couple where both earn less than 50k each. Tapered if one or both earn between £50-£60k. Can claim but repay the full amount of one of them earns over £60k. No limit to number of children.

UC/Tax credits
Not a clue but I recall them capping the number of kids you could claim for.

@4thonthe4th
I was 15 when I met my partner
He is 20 years older than me
But
30 years later and 5 kids
We are still together
And
He definitely never raped me

Someone needs to go on a list 😳

Toddlerteaplease · 16/01/2023 22:41

I once saw a bit of a programme, where Sue and Noel had taken the newest baby out for a coffee with them. They were sat at the table in absolute Silence, as they had nothing to talk about.

@tashx

This is really horrific. He's a Peodophile. Honestly kids shouldn't be allowed near him.

A 15 and 35 year old? Absolutely horrendous. He's old enough to be your dad.

He took advantage of you.

Limer · 17/01/2023 08:19

Bloody hell, this thread got a bit derailed!

Anyway, back to the latest episode. No way did Millie not tell her parents about her new house! And how on earth would a sofa get delivered to the wrong house without someone giving the delivery guys the address – bollocks, that was yet another set-up by the production crew.

Sue making a secret 200-mile round trip without anyone noticing? Coming back in the campervan – what happened to the car she went there in?

LOL at the teenagers complaining that there’s no food. Great example of parenting there. Making entertainment out of kids stealing and hiding food?

4 Radfords shopping for 2 hours, supposedly forgetting the money then just abandoning the trolley and walking out? I really hope that was another set-up, otherwise what a waste of all that food, all the chilled/frozen would have to be binned.

I couldn’t work out who was who – the Radfords are cute babies but all the teenagers look scrawny and malnourished with bad skin, hair and teeth.

LOL they spelt Heidie wrong on screen (like everyone will forever).

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/01/2023 09:28

Agree all the set ups make the show not so good as it was years ago and when was a normal and every day life

OP posts:
louise5754 · 17/01/2023 10:30

You mean they spelt Heidi correct. It was Sue that wanted ie to match the other girls.

mollynolly · 17/01/2023 10:36

Their show is pure trash (nowt wrong with a bit of that) and all the scenarios will have been plotted and planned by the production team, possibly in consultation with the family, way before shooting.

Then, of course, there's editing, which can polish a turd.

It's constructed reality. 'Real' people. Constructed narrative.

They know who they're aiming the show at, and they know what they might want to see. They also have to square this with who will be watching the adverts around the show, and the ads will be targeted at that audience too.

Nothing in it is real, not the scenarios, reactions, any of it, except the actual people themselves. Exactly like the Kardashians but with a much, much lower budget and production values.

mollynolly · 17/01/2023 10:36

(I'm not judging btw, I watch the Kardashians and loads of other crap 😂)
