It’s just getting a bit dull. It used to be my little escape. Just not feeling it. Selwyn & his angst no. Catherine & her over acting is just so boring.

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/02/2023 14:20

E6

will tonight’s be better

as the team investigate the murder of a water taxi driver

at the same time Neville gets a an anon letter saying a murder is going to happen

No mention of the break in at the end of the last episode…

EwwSprouts · 10/02/2023 21:12

The helmet look from the hair dye!

Glitterblue · 10/02/2023 21:54

What was Marlon apologising to Selwyn for? I can't work out if I've just forgotten or if I missed something!!

TitsInAbsentia · 10/02/2023 21:59

Oh fgs of course it wasn't him!
Will catherine bring him chicken and chips to his cell?

Riverlee · 10/02/2023 22:00

Glitterblue · 10/02/2023 21:54

What was Marlon apologising to Selwyn for? I can't work out if I've just forgotten or if I missed something!!

Me too. Failing the exam?

MajesticWhine · 10/02/2023 22:03

That fella makes a good baddie, David Cartwright

FadedRed · 10/02/2023 22:06

Can’t help feeling that the acting is getting worse, tonight’s episode was toe-curlingly bad, like watching the worse kind of Am-dram. So disappointing.

woodhill · 10/02/2023 22:10

Selwyn is horrible

Didn't deserve the rum

Riverlee · 10/02/2023 22:10

Does anyone think that Sophie is involved in the murder? Or where is Robert Webb or mate Andy who was travelling over?

Abraxan · 10/02/2023 22:10

I assume it was for not trusting him when he said that Marlon wasn't ready to go for his exams just yet but he would in time.

I think the three are somehow linked, and with this Cartwright bloke, and tonight's arrest. Some form of set up and investigation going on, just can't quite figure out what/how yet.

EwwSprouts · 10/02/2023 22:13

Agree about the baddie but Neville slamming the book down didn't cut it.

I think Marlon was just apologising for not meeting professional standards consistently. He was being told why promotion wasn't going to happen any time soon.

woodhill · 10/02/2023 22:14

It's turned into Columbo now

Lieutenant

The acting has really never been good though has it 😁

Merrilydancing · 10/02/2023 22:20

Hope Sophie isn’t involved but can’t help thinking that she is somehow along with the dodgy friend who we saw arriving a couple of weeks ago.

747jumbo · 11/02/2023 00:06

Why is it so bad? Is it being shot at a different time of year? It seems cloudy and grey and quite breezy - doesn't have the sun-drenched colour it used to. Where are the shots of guys selling melons by the roadside, people walking in the sunshine, fishermen chatting on the beach, people hanging about. This feels like it could've been shot in a studio in Watford.

No music again, no humour, no joy. The plot is mildly interesting - the involvement of Sophie and the old quiz friend from UK intriguing - but hardly gripping.
Sophie and Inspector are unconvincing as a loved up couple - there is zero chemistry. And agree with others that the dialogue and acting are dire! Oh well - I'll just have to take myself off to St Marie and sort it out for them won't I !😁.

GoldenCupidon · 11/02/2023 00:12

Haven’t caught up tonight’s yet but wanted to ask - weren’t last week’s and the week before’s weirdly similar? Man gets stabbed at event where he should be playing a key role, for reasons that go back 20 years. Almost like two versions of the same story? So odd to have them back to back.

Yes, I thought the same

The wedding one then the boat one I think

Agree about the filming and the stupid dinner party rubbish

Wouldn't that shack have been refurbished by now

tonyhawks23 · 11/02/2023 07:50

I think the security of the shack is unrealistic.
Totally disagree about Catherine though she's awesome.Selwyn too they are great characters.

Romeiswheretheheartis · 11/02/2023 09:09

The dinner party build up was a bit pointless as we didn't actually get to see any of the dinner party!

I saw they trailered Humphrey's new series afterwards. I liked Humphrey, but am not sure how I feel about seeing him not in Saint Marie 🤔

rothbury · 11/02/2023 15:35

Robert Webb and old mate Andy have to involved surely? Not sure about Sophie. Her acting is criminal though!!

longtompot · 11/02/2023 15:41

I think Andy might turn out to be working undercover and has been on the tail of the criminologist. Maybe Robert Webbs character will be the one who murdered him?
