I thought Reece was a good PM. It's a shame Gregory went, I thought the fact he did well in last week's task meant he'd be safe and maybe just given a warning to step up next week. It should've been Danisha who went. The awful design was mainly down to her.

Exactly! I mean each to their own but they do look pretty tragic. I don't know anyone like that in RL.

I think Sugar would rather people made the cock-up to end all cock-ups than that they were perceived not to have contributed anything.

Harsh to get rid of Gregory seemingly on this one task.

The failure was down to the sub-team here, and exacerbated by the awful pitch.

It's a very difficult task, to convey something meaningful and engaging in a 25 second cartoon, where they are not using a well-known cartoon character.

I knew Greg was a goner when before they even got into details when Sir Alan said he didn't know what he'd done during the task. Not contributing (or being seen not to be contributing) is always a fast track home.

A shame, because he saved week 1 single handedly. But I don't think he was what they were looking for.

@Ellmau I agree. I thought Cannon Ball was a goner then as well, despite doing superbly the week before. He was definitely the fall guy but something about him.

It's tricky.

With 8 people how can you all contribute that much? Or you try to and get considered annoying as you give ideas and fight for them and then called out for being disruptive.

But yes sone of those lips are awful and it's all you can see of that woman. Which is a shame.

I'm not sure how much plot you could ever get into a 25 second skit. All dialogue will be rushed and there's no time to absorb anything. And for children aged 2 to 4? There's a lot of difference between a two year old and a four year old.

My inclination with a brief like that would be to focus on sounds and music but obviously they didn't have those sorts of resources. I was thinking if it were me, I'd probably do a short, no speaking skit about a cute alien getting into a spaceship, going to another planet and meeting a load of other cute, different looking aliens and all being happy. No words, I'd just get as creative as possible in the studio with expressive sounds and maybe do a bit of "la la" singing. Maybe each set of aliens have their own song and when they sing together it harmonises or something.

Some of these briefs really are unfair.

I think most of the briefs, now set them up to fail tbh because it supposedly makes better TV. Like bake off, they deliberately set too short a space of time to add pressure and increase the likelihood of stuff going wrong. In The Apprentice - design a concept/character/storyline/script and make/film it is a lot to get through in 2 days. Karen and Tim make comments about them needing to hurry up or spending too long on this or that but reality is, some actually making a cartoon professionally would obviously allow themselves time to give their characters hands and feet!!

And why did they make them wear comedy outfits to pitch the product. The hi vis jacket had nothing to do with anything!!

Plus the animal graphics were way better and that's surely down to the designers rather than the candidates?

And lastly asking 2-4 year olds to give feedback on a 25 second clip with new and unfamiliar chapters is pointless. Of course they looked bored and uncomfortable. That's not how they would normally be watching TV anyway - they would likely be in a comfortabke/familiar environment (home/relatives home/childminder/possibly nursery or preschool) not with a bunch of strangers looking for their reaction!

The comedy outfits/ accessories make me cringe every time. I don't know if they have to do it, I don't see why they would choose to and surely they're only there for the cringe factor.

The tasks haven't changed significantly over time, but the quality of candidates has become less creative and less focused on details. There were pauses where the animator waited for input and they could have put the basics in.

It must be hard for the pros sitting there resisting the urge to correct the obvious like putting a "c" into Arctic

Was it the designer who made the Artic typo? They should have corrected it when they saw it, but whose mistake was it originally?

I think the designers do exactly what they're told, so even if they know it's wrong (artic / penguins in the North Pole instead of south / no hands on cartoons) they make no comment.

They handed the designer a doodle, which had Artic on it, and he copied what he was given

I agree, and I think that's why the giraffe cartoon was better in this episode - because one of the candidates had made a quite detailed effort to sketch the giraffe as they wanted it to look.

The others (as far as was shown) just asked for a girl in a wheelchair and a boy, and asked them to 'add an afro' to the boy - that was all the designers had to go on, so they gave them the absolute basics.

Brighton will be interesting , I am sure if they got hold of a bystanders phone it would take 2 secs to work out what everything is on google , excuse me I just need the loo again ( sneaks off to google item )

I know it's been said before, but...the lips! I'm finding them a distraction.
I don't know why some of the women are in skin tight restrictive clothing and teetering heels.
The cartoons were a challenge, but it was about being creative and working as a team. Greg really didn't show ability to do either.

Is no one talking about how fucking annoying shazia was? My god did she complain and then try to pretend it was all thanks to her

Also Marnie and the other blonde carried that task.

Reece should have gone.

For someone who professes to work with young children his Team failed really badly.

Poor Gregory was too nice and was the fall guy.

Reeces team didnt even put hands or feet on their characters 🤦🏽‍♀️

And God only knows what those arms were supposed to be doing.
To be truly inclusive it would have been better if Faye in the wheelchair could have helped Femi. Instead it was just patronising.
And like they were told. All they did was reinforce stereotypes the kid in the wheelchair cant do stuff and needs help.

The other team had a much better idea, though an Indian name for and African animal was weird and I'm surprised it wasnt brought up.

Shazia was pissed off.

And throughout the last few episodes those lips! Just are completely putting me off the show. Its really difficult to concentrate on the show. I actually feel sad that this is what is held up as the best female business brains.

Theres only a couple of them that look normal, the rest are identikit- the hair, lips and makeup. Cant believe the amount of makeup Karen is using also. I'm sure she used to be way less made up in the earlier series.

I hope next year they have more normal contestants.

Lol what a car crash. Even as an Indian I am boggling at the idea of a giraffe named Yogita. Lots of easier Indian names, Shazia!
Greg certainly should not have gone home. Reece or Denisha should have. What a horribly woke and patronising cartoon they came up with. And completely unsuitable for 2 to 4 yr olds.
I normally can't bear to look at Dani ( blonde with the pouty lips) but I thought she did well on this task.

Why are all the women (mainly) so awful? You don't have to be rude, shouty, argumentative to get ahead. The CMO at work is a woman and she is lovely and friendly (and no fake lips and skintight clothes). I work with lots of high ranking people (male and female)and none are like they are on the apprentice.

I miss the likes of Ruth Badger, Michelle Dewberry, Yasmin Siadatin when it was about how fake your lips are.
