i googled his restaurant’s menu, two ravioli dishes, and one tortellini. Oh the irony. I imagine the sous chef whose job is pasta will be feeling a tad smug.

I don’t remember there being so many terrible contestants on any previous series. There’s be loads this time.

Yes! Unless someone decent comes along this evening I think I'm going to skip the rest of the series. There's not been one single 'chef' who has made anything which has made go 'fwoar' a la Greg. Instead, I don't want to go to any of their restaurants (!)

Late joining the thread, been binge watching to catch up.
What I don't understand, for the first round is why they don't cook whatever is the best/most popular dish in their restaurant.
The Scottish guy last night claimed to run a successful restaurant, I bet his customers would not be regularly buying a plate of grey fish and cauliflower.

I was a bit pissed off at last night's episode. Yes, Stefan absolutely should have practiced his dishes and deserved to go, but a few weeks ago they gave someone LOTS more time to finish and plate up, even though contestants looked a bit (and rightly so) - how can they decide to do that for some and not all?

And the lack of commenting on the green dessert was just so odd! DH & I were both laughing at it, comparing it to a children's effort at a Christmas decoration, it didn't look in the least bit appealing and yet they didn't mention it at all??

Anyway, apart from that I'm loving it and was so glad to see two women go through they were both excellent

I’ve been to Gordon’s restaurant and it was amazing. I think he just let his nerves get the better of him.

I have been lurking on this thread for years (well, not this actual thread) You are all hilarious and I save reading until the next day, it is a highlight!

Anyway, just wanted to say thanks everyone, @Pebbledashery for the thread.

I thought they were all very good yesterday, especially compared to previous weeks.
Anna and Marcus seem a bit put out when someone is doing well... except for Marcus this week with yer one. Who I think will win.
