I do love roast Jérusalem artichokes, but usually smaller than that so they’re both chewy and soft

There's a proper waft of bonfire when I pretty much cook anything.

That is not a main. It’s a side dish. If I was eating in a restaurant and was expected to pay a main price for that I wouldn’t.

When we saw Jay Rayner's Last Supper show he said that pretty much everything they tasted on Masterchef was stone cold. Before it gets to the judges they have to film it several times and do all the photographs.

Rather takes the shine off the idea of being a critic if you have to pretend to enjoy cold food.
