New thread!

And thanks all. I have an 18 month old now. Who likes to wind up her 5yo sister lol.

OP posts:

I only watch it to see the bitching.

Matt Hancock is just awful. Regardless of what he's done on the outside, his demeanour in there is a typical tory, looking down on the plebs.

As an aside I discovered today that BG and CM know each other on the outside. CM's girlfriend is BG's manager I think.

Yeah his gf is George's manager, her insta is full of culture club trips around the world she's posted about both of them

I'm sure his kids were very proud of their dad when they saw the video of him groping his bit on the sides arse.

They are just kids. That is surely hard enough. Broken family. Blended new one. Like some smart so and so isn’t going to pull up those pictures and shove them in their faces when they go to secondary.

He’s their Dad.

JenniferBooth · 13/11/2022 22:57

MTs grandmother in law had to sit alone at her husbands funeral with a mask on.

TokyoSushi · 13/11/2022 22:58

I vote for BG every night, he's absolutely unbearable!

VanCleefArpels · 13/11/2022 22:59

My thoughts after week one:

1.Matt Hancock has balls of frigging steel. To go through what he has had to endure in the tasks without the merest of whimpering, wretching, crying or a mental breakdown is nothing short of miraculous. Props to him for this.

2.The producers need to tweak things now to at the very least make the trials two handers to prevent the pile on and give others a chance to experience the full jungle thing.

3.The great British public clearly didn’t realise what they were voting for when they made MH a candidate for leader 🤣. A shame because we would have had some idea of who is popular and therefore likely to win

4.Scarlett has amazing skin!

5.BG is going to go to Diva Defcon 2 fairly shortly.

Apart from the money I think many celebrities go on the show to boost their employment prospects. I think this stint for CM particularly could backfire. And also MT.

MT is the Cool Kid that doesn't bully but laughs at the bullies. I think it's a shame as he has a lot of warmth about him but just not enough integrity/maturity to be neutral. I also imagine the royals would be quite Tory in private based on their social circles!

I think in fairness, objectively, it was shit. People didn’t get to say goodbye to their loved ones, people died alone. On that front will then tough lunch Matt.

Confusion101 · 13/11/2022 23:01

I would LOVE to see Charlene being voted off first. She thinks she's the Queen Bee

workiskillingme · 13/11/2022 23:01

BG is utterly vile
Foul

StrawberryRed · 13/11/2022 23:04

These rich people avoiding paying their taxes hardly help the NHS or working class labour voters. I wonder of he donated his ill gotten gains to charity.

www.thedrum.com/news/2014/02/23/chris-moyles-receives-twitter-backlash-after-claiming-be-second-hand-car-dealer-tax

BG has posted strong views about tax avoidance on his Twitter, where are his dogs at CM???

FredaFox · 13/11/2022 23:04

Finally caught up!
I've been voting CM daily with my 5 free, he's vile, can't stand him and his costly bitchy chats with BG will do him no favours. He probably thought he would be top dog in there
MH just cracks on with it, I'm quite liking him which I guess I wasn't expecting but that's because he is human, he's calm, he has a go at the trials. I don't agree with the lockdown decisions but while he was the face of a lot of them do I think he made all decisions, no. Any decision that affected the public like it did went through committees etc. he was just the puppet talking about it

LumpyandBumps · 13/11/2022 23:04

Matt Hancock is my local MP. I have never voted for him, and never will.
I started watching this series as I wanted to see him do the challenges.
I had intended to vote for him all the time.
Putting aside his politics, I am very impressed with the way he has handled all of them. He just gets stuck in.
I think Chris Moyles and BG are currently the biggest snakes in the jungle, and am now voting for them.
I hope the rules are changed so that Matt Hancock is excluded from a couple of the votes. Not because I feel sorry for him, but he has proved that he can do them, and it’s time the others had the same opportunity.
I had to laugh when BG said he wouldn’t be led by a Tory. Admittedly I don’t actually know Mike Tindall’s political leanings, but as he is married to the King’s niece, I would hazard a guess that it isn’t left of centre.

AuroraCake · 13/11/2022 23:05

Oh and the whole Hancock thing is really quite incestuous. They all went to Oxford together and apparently Matt was the geeky boy and pretty much puppy dogged his new girlfriend always.

Sunsetmom · 13/11/2022 23:05

I really like MH, kinda boring doing all the trials though as he’s not phased by them like it seems some of the others would be which is what brings the entertainment!
i don’t know who BG thinks he is and CM is just vile! They both need to go, they hate the fact MH isn’t being hated on by everyone!

bluebell34567 · 13/11/2022 23:06

so far MH did very well.
he was bitten by a scorpion but went on the trial nevertheless and did very well. ( i read about him bitten by scorpion like in last couple of days so i dont understand how it is shown now)
it must be exhausting to do so many trials (and perfectly) i hope he survives well.
he didnt leave them hungry, he supplied well and i think he is done best that any one of them could do.
as a pp said he has been very cordial to all of them despite the bitchiness around.
his children must be very proud of him.

Topgub · 13/11/2022 23:06

When do people start getting voted out?

This is boring

Private school educated, roughy player, horse racing going, sends kids to private school. Doubt he is labour.

Grantanow · 13/11/2022 23:09

Just another timewaster. Better things to do.

StrawberryRed · 13/11/2022 23:10

Any kid should be proud of their Dad if he can do that Octopus challenge! That was a full physical and mental battle.

But on the other hand his inlaws are all scrounge off the state and none of them work so maybe labour after all?

Exactly what do you think should have been done to avoid people dying alone? It was a pandemic. How would visitors spreading it further have improved the situation when there were no treatments and no vaccines? My mother died alone after three weeks in a hospital which was locked down to visitors due to Norovirus. I believe she wouldn’t have died if I had been able to go in and look after her properly.

Who else do we think may be a 'closet' tory voter in the jungle...?

I am so incredibly sorry. How unimaginable for you.

In honesty there was nothing that could be done and they did their best in really awful situation. They could have left the rule breaking out.

Sorry to hear that. You have a very measured view despite that loss.
