Oh my god I’d forgotten the forced pretend tears over the first vaccine!!!

The faces of the GMB presenters were priceless.

I think he may actually be without any genuine human emotions; apart from pride and arrogance of course.

NeverOneBiscuit · 09/11/2022 22:42

Jennifer booth : yes, fair point.

IntentionalError · 09/11/2022 22:44

Is this the same Boy George who, in 2007, was convicted of assault & false imprisonment and sentenced to 15 months in jail for handcuffing and attacking a male escort?

Fat hypocritical sanctimonious prick.

not had the chance to read the full thread yet, but as I've watched this latest episode it's become apparent to me that far from the Tories chastising Matt Hancock for doing this show off his own back, I think he's been sent in there by a Conservative PR team to try and claw back some votes from us plebs. People who were Labour voters most of their lives who gave the Tories a chance the last couple of times have woken up to the mess they've left the country in, and been disgusted by their lies and conduct and the Tories are very worried about losing so many votes next election. He's been put in there to try to present the Tories as having a human, cuddly, likeable side. In exactly the same way that Boris managed to win Labour voters with his hapless buffoon act when he first got elected.

It's all a load of bullshit. I don't believe a word that comes out of MH's mouth.

Good theory but if you were going to pick one of them I don't think it would have been him.

Pieceofpurplesky · 09/11/2022 22:44

MH made decisions that led people to die (care homes etc). He used a disaster to fill the pockets of friends and family. He broke his own rules and cheated on his wife. Ugh and his comments on the country being stable.

What BG did was terrible but his actions did not lead to the death of many, the trauma for hundreds families etc. (I know his victim was traumatised obviously). There is no comparison. I hope BG gets his say on behalf of people who have lost loved ones.

I like CM, missing him on the radio. He's a smoker, he has also been very upfront about going in for the money (for a new en suite). I think
Owen knows full well what is going on - he's playing the dumb pretty boy game.

Echojoke · 09/11/2022 22:45

Hugely dislike MH and will enjoy him doing the awful eating trials but also think a few camp mates might be disappointed as they realised they might not get the chances to do many trials with him being there.
I especially think Mike Tindal looked like he was a bit gutted to hear it’s not you’ and I don’t think just for airtime but maybe he wanted to challenge himself

Mezmer · 09/11/2022 22:46

Whatever anyone thinks of Matt Hancock he’s a free man and he’s not as far as I’m aware ever been hauled in front of a jury and found guilty of any crime. It’s just typical hypocrisy seeing all these ‘fair minded’ liberal luvvies turn on someone because they don’t fit into their narrow minded view of who is and who is not worthy.

it’s laughable how quickly bullying suddenly becomes very acceptable when it’s directed at someone who allegedly ‘deserves it’.

hypocrites

TitsInAbsentia · 09/11/2022 22:46

Mezmer · 09/11/2022 22:08

Why should Matt be expected to give his money to charity when they are all loaded one way or another and one is even married into the royal family? Suddenly equality is out the window and ‘rules’ are being bought in for certain people. People should check their discrimination bias.

I'd be highly surprised if some of them don't use this as an opportunity to support their personal charity preferences, particularly Mike who already does a lot for charity...what does MH currently do for charities I wonder?

Calmdown14 · 09/11/2022 22:47

I'm perfectly happy to decide MH is a total twat based on what we see in the jungle. I don't mind the questions about his constituents as that's fair enough.

I do dislike the sanctimonious attitude from those who think it will make them look better to the public, while falling over themselves to welcome others with dubious backgrounds. The jungle experience is supposed to be about seeing how you can rub along with people who don't necessarily share your views, values or background. People usually show their colours pretty quickly in that environment....it's what makes it interesting.

Aquarius1234 · 09/11/2022 22:47

How long did BG lock up that guy?
I assume longer than a day..

Agree 100%, all the BG bashing is bullshit.

Hmm

And your point is?
I literally said I Googled to tell the poster they were wrong and then posted a shocked face 🤔

Aquarius1234 · 09/11/2022 22:48

I think Charlene s questions were very weak. She's so lightweight.

Sorry I thought you meant when you looked it up it said 55.

ZandathePanda · 09/11/2022 22:51

NeverOneBiscuit · 09/11/2022 22:34

For me, like others have said, it’s not about lockdowns with Hancock. It’s his involvement in the VIP lane for PPE contracts, pretending he/they didn’t know symptomless people could spread the virus. And following on from that the sending of positive people back into care homes. Plus of course breaking his/ their own rules with his adulterous affair.

Of course there’s a lot of hindsight, but he’s been proven to have knowingly lied about several key points at the time. Following this, not one bit of contrition or genuine regret.

Yes all of this. MH was also undermining the medics and scientists advice thinking he knew better.

amp.theguardian.com/world/2022/oct/09/ex-vaccine-head-kate-bingham-accuses-matt-hancock-behaviour-in-meeting

MH has no emotional intelligence nor understanding. He just doesn’t get it. He also was odd physically - his arms didn’t swing whilst he walked and he didn’t blink much.

I am actually really enjoying MH and SW. haven’t laughed so much for ages. Like being in some weird alternate reality.
All felt a bit serious back in main camp again though.
I find Chris really funny too, so probably totally against the grain here.

Yeah Chris is ok! Just says it as it is really.

Aquarius1234 · 09/11/2022 22:52

I hate Chris cos he thinks he's funny.

ButtonSister · 09/11/2022 22:53

Is BG upset MH is there for the reasons he stated or because in 2022 MH is as big a name as BG and Bag's nose Isa little disjointed?

Hungrycaterpillarsmummy · 09/11/2022 22:54

I don't mind MH.

Can't stand Chris moyles. He's a sexist attention seeking twat.

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/11/2022 22:54

im In two minds - he seems game for a laugh and got stuck in to Mole trial

but obv the public remember his affair when all in lockdown

and how the queen god bless her soul has to sit alone for her husbands funeral

they are all in jungle for money or more /how to boost a flagging career

I think matt will be voted off rather then keep him in for ages doing trials

itv May have made a mistake getting matt in the jungle - the dyamatics are different now

I agree with all of this.

I'm missing Chris too - mornings aren't the same. I quite like Toby, but he's not a patch on Chris. Having Pippa, Dom and James makes it better, but it's still not the same.

Heartstopper · 09/11/2022 22:57

Aquarius1234 · 09/11/2022 22:38

Gutting for ITV I would think. He was also paid 500k

I thought hey forfeited their fee (or part of it) if they flounced? They used to, anyway.

Whereisthehugeteddybear · 09/11/2022 22:57

Bottom line : they are all in it for their own publicity and a pay cheque.
"Facing their fears" or "showing people the real me" are secondary

ZandathePanda · 09/11/2022 23:00

Is MH divorced or will his wife get half of this in a divorce settlement?

Whereisthehugeteddybear · 09/11/2022 23:00

...that's not to say I'm supportive of MH being there. (I think he should be working in his constituency)
I actually really respected Owen for saying he didn't follow politics so would only judge Matt from how he found him to be in the jungle (I'm paraphrasing)
