Think they should all go home. And enjoy baking nice things instead.

It’s funny how Bake Off compares with other competitive shows in that the lack of audience vote and the fact it’s pre-recorded means the judges aren’t swayed by public opinion in the same way other shows’ judges are. I wonder if they ever regret their decision once the show airs.

Anyway, I guess it’s time to call a winner. I’m going for Syabira.

FawnDrench · 15/11/2022 11:21

I'm going for Abdul as the surprise winner.
Purely from how it's been edited plus he seems a lovely natural person with no airs and graces.

But I hope it's Syabira as she has been most consistent throughout- even though we're told it's all about how they do on the day.
I don't believe that at all.

I just hope it's a "good" final that is enjoyable to watch, with not too much drama and "anguished face" close-ups which probably bear little resemblance to what actually happens in the tent.
Right... not asking for much then.

It's all down to the editing sadly.

I've a horrible feeling it will be Sandro
so he finally gets his handshake
but I remember another series where one person seemed a definite winner only to lose to a surprise finalist
so maybe Abdul
please not Sandro though

I'm always surprised how the result doesn't get out before the final airs.

MrsThimbles · 15/11/2022 15:45

According to articles in the press today it wasn’t a good final for any of the bakers and the eventual winner was the best of a poor bunch on the day.

But it did one year didn’t it?! It was Prue let the cat out the bag.

jay55 · 15/11/2022 17:02

Yes Pru for her time one wrong and congratulated the winner early.

Sorry for the nonsense. Pru got her time zone wrong.

All these suggestions below chat 🤣

SuperCamp · 15/11/2022 20:06

Logistics v baking skill.

This challenge might as well be an audition to run a busy airport or manage a moon landing, all in 2 hours

PrincessScarlett · 15/11/2022 20:06

No Noel!

littlbrowndog · 15/11/2022 20:07

Grated carrots and beetroot sandwiches 🤮

Wolfcub · 15/11/2022 20:07

I could really fancy a cauliflower cheese pie

PrincessScarlett · 15/11/2022 20:08

2 hours to make 2 loaves of bread, 8 pies and cake. Christ, they might as well build a rocket to the moon

SuperCamp · 15/11/2022 20:08

PrincessScarlett · 15/11/2022 20:06

No Noel!

Can’t face a beetroot sarnie

littlbrowndog · 15/11/2022 20:09

Is it all vegetarian?

FawnDrench · 15/11/2022 20:09

Trust Shsmpro to try to do something different.
Isn't there enough with the brief they've been given?
It's annoying- to me anyway.

Piggywaspushed · 15/11/2022 20:10

Sandro's family are very attractive too.

littlbrowndog · 15/11/2022 20:10

They have lovely house. Was neebing at it

SuperCamp · 15/11/2022 20:11

Just show their cooking techniques. It’s GBBO not ‘who do you think you are?’

TheDogsMother · 15/11/2022 20:11

Evening all. I have a terrible conundrum as the last 15 minutes of this overlaps with the skills test on Masterchef. I want to see them both live !

littlbrowndog · 15/11/2022 20:12

Me too dogs. It’s a quandary

Wolfcub · 15/11/2022 20:12

Why have they not given them a proper amount of time
