My mind has totally blanked the plague pit ghosts being invited upstairs previously.
Maybe once this series has finished I will go back and rewatch from the very first episode and see what else I’ve missed.

We went last year as a combined birthday treat for me and dd 😊
Thoroughly enjoyed it. Much more relaxed than a NT visit. You can sit on the sofas and stroke Dante! But be prepared that you don't get to see all of the rooms used in the programme.
However I still can't resit thinking" I've been there when watching 🤣

I wonder. The one on bbc sounds is fronted by an actor who has been in the programme and he chats about the first episode with Mathew Baynton and Kiell Smith-Bynoe. I'm assuming he will have different cast members for each episode.
I should listen again when not half asleep to be fair.

That’s the one I tried listening to last night and I agree, the presenter was irritating. Too much over-the-top laughing when the chat was perfectly fine but not funny enough to match with such hilarity — it sounded a bit desperate and false. Like, calm down mate, I can hardly hear the actual conversation.

I stopped it about two-thirds in, might try again later.

Yes that’s the one I listened too, I liked the over the top laughter - I think they’re all good mates and we’re just mucking about but I get that people might find it irritating!

The “Outlaws” podcast wasn’t hosted by cast members either, they just interviewed them. I like hearing outsiders give their take on episodes rather than a strict “this is what we were aiming at” first.

I should give it another chance, @CaveMum — I was lying down feeling a bit ropey (struggling with the progesterone weeks of my hrt cycle) so I might’ve been influenced by that. I do like the cheeriness, just felt it seemed slightly forced but then again, hitting the perfect tone with a new podcast is probably challenging!

I found the first episode a bit flat, but probably only because they have previously set the bar so high.

The 4th episode is brilliant. There's so much going on and very funny.

I meant to say 6th but it's all brilliant.

My 10 year old has decided to binge watch from the beginning, which is great! As long as he doesn’t watch series 4 before me.

I’d forgotten how good the first series was.

Well, episode 4 made me cry.
