Ive watched all of the US version and its just as good. The cast and characters are just right for this version and the quality of writing is the same.

I will watch this season in real time though to stretch out the enjoyment. I can always rewatch previous seasons to keep me topped up.

Lovely to see and hear more from the plaguers! Turns out they are a lot more interesting than we thought. There has been a lot of work done on Button house since series 3, but I can’t understand why they don’t cut back the ivy growing through the kitchen wall!

I agree. I’ve watched them all and didn’t like this series. Seems to be the weakest and not as funny as previous ones. The kids agree too.

First episode of the Ghosts podcast is up. They’re going to be released as each episode is broadcast so not possible to binge!

I didn't really get what was the problem with the guests. Was it just that they're like a lot of long term relationships and you just get into a rut, even on holiday?

I thought there was going to be some sort of reveal, like they were secret shoppers and all the attention re pillows etc would make them give a negative review but I suppose it just shows the mundane truth that people will give meh reviews for trivial reasons.

I don't even care that much about the side stories featuring actual humans - it's the ghosts themselves and their interactions that I love. And dear God, the Captain...I just LOVE him, even though I'm definitely not his type!! He is so, so bloody handsome.

Watched the whole thing tonight, thought it was excellent! Love love love Robin 🤣

As this is a TV pace thread I will say I really enjoyed ep1. A very welcome return for a great series. One of the few that genuinely makes me laugh out loud.

I loved Mary reminiscing about her day-to-day life, and the little seed of a friendship starting up between the Captain and Mick (is it Mick?) the toothy plague ghost ☺️

Well I never! And have they always been the same actors?! Can’t believe it’s taken me 4 seasons to notice 🤦‍♀️

We visited West Horsley Place, the house where they film it, over the summer and there were loads of mums with their teens there. The guides gave us info on “this is window seat where Thomas writes his poetry” etc.

Very excited to learn you can actually visit Button House!! Dull admin question, but if you go for the morning slot, is that just for entrance to the house and you can hang around the estate till it closes, or is there a time by which you have to leave to make way for the afternoon session?
I wonder if they find their bookings go up massively after this thread?

We enjoyed episode 1 and are looking forward to the rest of the series.
But as we're watching one a night I won't post
I love finding out more about each ghost as the series go on and the changing relationships between them.

I think them coming upstairs is why this episode wasn’t as good.
Why, if they can actually come upstairs, did they spend forever in the cellar in the dark? It doesn’t make sense. They would have been upstairs forming relationships with the other ghosts long before now if they could move freely around the house. They were more interesting not being able to come upstairs and suddenly mixing with the others.
