I’ve had a volte-face when it comes to Matt, thought he was ok at first and respected him for his boundaries, but now he’s just kicking a dog when it’s down with Gemma. He should just be honest and leave the show before she gets even more attached. Saying that, I would also balk somewhat at being offered a knob gobble with extra sauce over dinner à deux if I were the chap in question 🧐

Let's be honest, most of the couples are so poorly matched and clearly doomed that there's no reason at all for them to stay at commitment ceremonies other than wanting to be on TV. Which does take quite a lot of the fun out of watching it, when you know it's ALL for the Gram. Whitney, Matt, Kwame (and Kasia), April - all of them should have walked away if it's about genuine feelings!

I think part of the problem is that everyone can't agree what a spoiler is.

Some have said they don't want to hear what departed cast members have said in interviews/Instagram

Others say they don't want it even mentioning that there is a spoiler in the Daily Mail.

Some say they do want a heads up so they can avoid spoilers

Others only think a spoiler is stating clearly that someone has left ahead of airing or who is still together

There's a lot of different interpretations of a spoiler so people are posting things in innocence and then upsetting others

Apologies. I'm just sick of the snide comments on this thread since Sheldon left. She is the OP and I'm aghast at newbies coming along defending spoilers as if they created the thread.

But we all seem to manage to understand what a spoiler is on any other TV thread.

Anything that hasn't been broadcast to viewers or is not common knowledge is a spoiler.

Saying Jess hinted that someone is in a long term relationship is a spoiler. Speculating on who that is is a spoiler. Saying there is a Spoiler in X newspaper isn't a spoiler in itself but is a discussion about spoilers and unnecessary.

I think it's quite simple. Discuss what we have been shown as viewers from the TV show at TV pace.

This exactly. One person says "avoid the Daily Mail as there's a spoiler" but others will come along and hint about what the spoiler is.

There's no spoilers on soap threads and they manage well. So why not here?

I never found the spoiler On the DM site. It is so full of shite that I don’t know how anyone found it. I googled also and still don’t know what it is and now I want to know. I would welcome a thread about the spoiler just so I at least know what it is!

It’s not about who’s new and who’s been on the MAFS threads for years - it’s just that these threads have always been spoiler-free in the past and it would be nice to keep it that way. There’s enough drama on the show without bringing it on here too.

I personally don’t mind a heads up that there’s a spoiler somewhere so that I can avoid it if possible, but if I have managed to avoid it then it completely sucks to get all sorts of not very veiled references to what it is. There has been a separate thread in the past for those who want to discuss things they’ve read/seen elsewhere, and some people have managed to be on both without crossing the streams.

But I'm happy with this thread as it is, why would I want to start a new one? Most people, the vast majority, are happy to be on this thread - imperfect as it is. Imperfect because it can't be all things to all people.

I prefer no nicknames, no chat about what's on insta, no references to bitches or personal comments about people's looks or weight and definitely no sp**rs.

But I can't make rules for a thread that loads of people want to join, so I keep quiet and carry on and enjoy the content of the thread which I do like - which is 95% of it.

These threads have alesys been spoiler free so we just want to follow that.
