Matt is a twat, but Gemma just isn't ready for a marriage or even a relationship. She uses her body to make a statement, not her words. I think he has the ick from her now, she's put him off and that's it, no way back.

Gemma is very hard to watch and I also worry that she’s learned to communicate sexually from some difficult past experiences. Matt is not being very nice to her though.

Mostly this series appears to have become about the dynamics in the wider group rather than the marriages. We see so little of the couples together and the drama is mostly about the bitching. The balance is really wrong.

Very very bored by the drama about who was bitching in the toilets.

I don't like Matt. I think I tried so hard not to make assumptions based on his facial tattoos that I over-compensated. He has cold little eyes. He's fully entitled to set his boundaries and to be exasperated when they are repeatedly breached, but there's no real kindness there.

Thomas went out of his way to be welcoming to the new people. I think the division between those who were welcoming and those who weren't was very clear.

It was amusing to watch April calculate what kind of story she wanted to tell to get attention - first being upset, then bride of the year.

I feel uneasy sitting watching Gemma, I think it's unethical. She's crying out for physical attention from anyone, she really needs help. It's so difficult to watch 😢.
April has no interest in George beyond the show. You could tell she wants to be Queen Bee and seemed to respond to feeling threatened by Sophie by ramping it up with George. He's so insecure and seems to think they have something really special.
Thomas is so incredibly exhausting just to watch, no idea where he gets so much energy for all of the drama!

Gemma IS hard work but Matt is dealing with it badly and making it worse. When she says 'You look handsome' he should just quickly say 'You look lovely too' and give her a smile and change the subject so she's not left hanging there having given him a compliment and made to feel crap about it. She then just goes on to repeat the compliment hoping for something in return and gets more and more upset when she gets nothing back.

It's a bit like Thomas and Adrian's dynamic. Thomas needs emotional boosts and affirmation that he's good enough. In most relationships one partner is more needy than the other and the other just needs to deal with it and move on.

If Gemma & Matt are going to survive, Matt will need to dig deep and keep smoothing the waters so she feels cared for. I'm not sure Matt is capable of being her Adrain, he can't see what she is clearly showing him she needs.

Then people could choose where they wanted to be or check in to the spoiler one if they wanted spoilers then come back to the main one. I hate spoilers. I'm at people reading the end of books first!

April obviously lied and bitched about Chanita and then threw Jess under the bus. It's interesting to me that the 'experts' were 'oh this is so draining for Adrian' but when George put himself in the middle of the drama last week they were 'oh George is being so good defending his wife' - double standards much

I stand by my earlier comment - Matt Tatts is a wrong'un. He's aggressive, controlling and manipulative. Yy Gemma is very crude but I also think he's threatened by Gemma and so is determinedly breaking her down. He wanted to be the alpha with his own business - he's similar to KwaMeMe that way. They want tiny, quiet, surrendered wives to support them. His flirting with Whitney was rubbing salt in the wound when he can't even smile at Gemma. I hope he does get together with Whitney - they deserve each other.

I liked the way Adrian brought Thomas down and Thomas let him. Also liked how Thomas just put his head on Gemma's shoulder - she desperately needs human contact - as a mum she's probably missing all the physical contact you get from DCs too. Also liked how Thomas then shut down Matt the Tatts' frankly bullshit speech.

I don't see the point of the experts.
All they do is commentate instead of stepping in and helping when people like Gemma clearly have deep rooted issues that are impacting on her ability to form a relationship. I just hope they don't rock up to Gemma and Matts with a sex suitcase 😬

Do they actually eat at the dinner party? I haven't noticed any food and I'm sure there was food last year.

Spoiler threads are more necessary for MAFSA when the show has already been broadcast and there's loads out there, and people are watching at different rates and might want to discuss future episodes.

For the UK it shouldn't be too hard not to talk about the odd spoiler in the Mail - but no objection at all to two threads if that works better.

I am another person who'd prefer fewer nicknames because I forget what their actual names are let alone what people are calling them on here!

I can definitely understand Gemma. I've said previously I used to be like that.

Matt has the ick and has no interest in pursuing the relationship now but I don't think he wants to be a quitter.

Hopefully if Gemma does hit rock bottom on this show she can be helped back up and leave the show with a better perspective and generally happier

I know the press get previews of what's going on but I can't help but think sometimes these things are put out on purpose (ie viewing figures might be dropping). It does annoy me because once it's gone in to an online news site it gets picked up all over the place on social media so is really hard to avoid.

I felt sorry for George in that episode. He thought it was all about him and April's relationship moving forward, but I think it was all about April trying to detract from the drama with Tom and whatsername.

I like Zoe and Adrian, and the other new couple seem lovely.

I agree that there's something a bit inauthentic about Matt, and would love to hear more from the person who knows him.

(I respect Sheldon for staying flounced. Too often people say they're leaving just to have the validation of others pleading for a few hours but with no intention of ever actually going).

I’ve had a volte-face when it comes to Matt, thought he was ok at first and respected him for his boundaries, but now he’s just kicking a dog when it’s down with Gemma. He should just be honest and leave the show before she gets even more attached. Saying that, I would also balk somewhat at being offered a knob gobble with extra sauce over dinner à deux if I were the chap in question 🧐

Again was loathing Sophie Tech-Channelton-Smythe in the wedding episode but she’s definitely grown on me and seems a lot more fun and unclenched now. JoHnathan is lovely (except his weird name spelling).

Hardly any air time for the other couples lately! Zero interest in bitch-in-the-bathroom gate and Thomas’s histrionics, but loving Adrian, and it’s interesting the power shift in their relationship now Thomas has started fancying him. George with the fruit bowl was stuff of nightmares, my brain will probably file it in the same place as Kasia’s bum crack dance and pull it out for some grade A night terrors 🥴
