She had a lot of conversations with production about what she was looking for in a husband, her type, what she didn't want, dealbreakers etc and they gave her the exact opposite of what she had asked for. She said she hated the whole experience and was really upset that they set her up with the exact opposite of who she wanted for TV, rather than actually matching her for love. They had asked her about a stripper and she had told them no.

She wanted a guy who owns a house, has a successful career, can pamper her, likes to hang out and drink at the pub watching football and she prefers a dad bod to a six pack.

Her ideal man = Justin Beiber! And she has a tattoo of his lyrics on her arm.

She is dating a new guy she met on Tinder after coming back from filing. (Filming was a November to January commitment). He looks after her and takes care of her and pampers her and is great.

Soeone on the show was in an 18 month relationship at the time of filming and only did it for the exposure, never intending to leave their relationship. This does not come out on the show but came out amongst the cast after the show.

I think Lara will say a lot more after the episodes end. She was a little upset about how she came across on the show. She said watching herself is hard as she looks uncomfortable and but didn't speak up and in real life she is a very confident person.

She knew from the start that he was not at all who she wanted or needed but she said she had taken the experiment seriously and felt she truly needed to give it a try. She said she has had a lot to deal with in life and still does and wants a true partner who can be there for her and that she doesn't need to take care of.

Just on Gemma. I'm wondering if she has some sort of sexual trauma in her past. I had a sexual trauma when I was 16/17 and I did sort of take on an overly sexual persona as a result. It was me trying to take back power through sex. If I had control then it couldn't be used against me and it couldn't hurt me etc.
Honestly a few things she has said I vividly remember saying when I was in my early 20s (not in front of my mam btw!) and tbh I don't think I actually enjoyed sex properly until I let all this go.

I think it is more about getting airtime. This was likely her plan. These are late arriving couples, they need a chocker story of some kind to stand out and get airtime as all the other couples already know each other and have been hanging out together for weeks and have ongoing drama and storylines that get airtime.

I think she went for shock value as a way of making a statement on arrival and to set up a conflict / drama storyline that will get airtime in the coming weeks. I don't think Matt is so on board with her strategy but I guess we will see how it progresses.

Gemma managed to totally erase that instant attraction she and Matt had. Such a shame. Wonder if she can tone it down a bit and get thjngs on track. Is funny because looking at Matt I would have made an assumption he wouldn't be bothered by it, just goes to show. Two things though...what is with his stripey hair?! Just catching up and I'm honestly a bit shocked about Gemma, her comments are just a bit too far and she's totally turned Matt off, which is a shame as they seemed so promising initially! But it's completely right, if it was one of the male contestants saying things like that, they wouldn't be allowed on the programme!

The Chanita / Thomas / April thing is annoying - they've spent two episodes dancing around it when they should have got it all out in the commitment ceremony ep when they were all there! So it's all vague allusions about what's been said etc, but no actual substance? I think Tom is in the right tho, as he's shown that he's very upfront with his thoughts and opinions, so if he didn't like Chanita, he's far more likely to just say that to her face.

I'm not sure I see any of these couples really going the distance now.

My family were being really annoying and talking all the way through this last night. Normally I'd rewatch because I'm that sad I don't like to miss anything, but I'm definitely going to skip rewatching that cringe-fest.
