The new season starts on 14th September in the US. No UK date yet but likely be be later in the year

Trailer:

It looks set to be as dramatic as ever. I'm looking forward to the new series but I hope this will be the last, or it risks being one of those series that goes on too long.

Just watched episode 3...

I thought something was going to happen between Serena and Commander Lawrence!

I wonder if Janine will survive?

Just watched Episode 2.
My ! That's some retaliation.
What a deeply unpleasant, evil woman Serena is.
I do so hope she gets her comeuppance.
I know it's only fiction but..........

Anyone up to ep5 with me?

Just finished it. Oh my...

Huntswomanonthemove · 07/10/2022 02:15

My favourite series ever. Under his eye.

HeadacheEarthquake · 07/10/2022 08:04

I felt it got off to a really slow start with a lot of explanations but the scene in 3 with Hannah and the flowers with Serena got me!

Last week felt a bit funny considering June and Serena came face to face, but I could just tell Luke was going to do something extremely stupid when Serena poked him and here we have it!

Totally thought that they were going to get raided in the bowling hall, that was butt clenching, but that poor kid's going on the wall isn't he?

Mrs Ryan Wheeler looks to be a very entertaining villain and I can't wait to see how that develops

snowballer · 07/10/2022 11:31

I'm really enjoying this series, much more than the last. So tense. Thanks to the poster that put the link up to watch it.

OnTheBoardwalk · 07/10/2022 21:26

Is it on in the uk yet?

We're watching online as we are bad people.

Watched episode 5, urgh, so transparent you knew they were going to get caught .
Will still watch it though

Backofthenet20 · 08/10/2022 03:16

cant wait for next week. What will happen to the captured? Will Serena have her baby taken from her?

Haveawordwithyourusband · 08/10/2022 12:35

I’m watching on SBS, and then listening to the Eyes on Gilead podcast. I’m really missing having the discussion thread on here though. I’d love to know what others are thinking. I’ve found the episodes in Canada so far a bit surreal where the characters seem to have such easy access to each other. That aspect is not quite ringing true for me.

endofthelinefinally · 08/10/2022 16:28

Serena is getting a small taste of what it is like to be a handmaid. I wonder if she will be allowed to keep her baby. After all, single mothers are not considered fit mothers in Gilead. The flash back to the children's centre with all those poor kids was awful.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 08/10/2022 19:08

I 100% think they will

a) take Serena's baby

and because she has proven fertile

b) make her a Handmaid

HeadacheEarthquake · 08/10/2022 20:22

Interesting we didn't see any Gilead aside from Luke and June's misadventure. I really thought they were gonna get AKed because of the noise of the bowling and whooping and music and such, June's face said it all. But it was a good contrast being set up for what I imagine will be a horror show once we see them in captivity, I don't see Luke surviving unless he grows some serious cahonas.

OnTheBoardwalk · 09/10/2022 21:53

I found the bowling alley scenes really uncomfortable and they put me on edge

really don’t understand why it had to be Luke and June

LivingOnAPear · 11/10/2022 17:47

Does anyone know when the new episodes are added to that website? I can see discussion about episode 6 on Reddit and I’m keen to watch it tonight.

LivingOnAPear · 11/10/2022 18:06

Ignore me. It looks like someone started a discussion a day early in error.
It’s been a long week waiting for episode 6.

whereamu · 11/10/2022 21:29

Did anyone else love the genius writing:

Police:: you'll have to pay a fine $88
June: I don't think I have $88 on me

IconicKitty · 12/10/2022 09:10

That was a great episode! I've been a bit bored this season but that has captured my attention again.

AnotherEmma · 12/10/2022 22:32

Why is this thread so quiet?! Are we the only people watching?!

I thought ep6 was brilliant. Can't wait til next week!

HeadacheEarthquake · 12/10/2022 22:52

Watching now - photos being taken... Good lord

FrankTheThunderbird · 12/10/2022 23:07

Oh my... can't wait for next week!

Haveawordwithyourusband · 12/10/2022 23:45

I’ve just watched episode 6, thought it was absolutely incredible! I kind of guessed what Serena was going to do, but why did she leave Ezra stunned but clearly ok-ish with his bullet proof vest? I think she is in labour and was trying to hide it. If that is the case though I am slightly confused about the whole pregnancy timeline. They said last week Nicole was 14 months old. The conception we think was on the the journey to Canada the night before Serena lured Fred over the border to his arrest. Are we saying that was 7/8 months ago? Does that tie in with how old Nicole was when Serena had visitation? I wonder if anyone has done a timeline.

Can’t believe I was rooting for Serena to escape though. After everything she put June through it should have been satisfying to watch her in the same position. Did she use the exact same wording “go to your room” on June as well at one point. I’m surprised Alanis was keen on the gynaecologist matchmaking situation, surely she wanted Serena to stay single to enable her to claim the baby?

Loved the Gilead aspects as well. I’m glad they pulled back a bit on the ‘commanders can do what they want’ line, isn’t it the case that Putnam had already lost a body part for having sex with Janine outside of the ceremony? So I’m not sure why he thought he had free rein with Esther, or why Lawrence thought it was such a non- issue. Do we know why Lawrence changed his mind? I’m not sure if he’s acted to placate Lydia or if it was down to Nick’s influence.

Just drive!!! Now what!!,??
