tense 5 part thriller

from the ones who made line of duty and vigil …..

joe (aiden turner) a clinical psychologist is called in to offer his expertise after a body of a young woman is found in a london cemetery

when Di Vincent Ruiz (Shaun Parker) and his new partner Ds Riya Devi show him the body their suspicions are aroused by his reaction

is he shocked by the brutality of the murder or is there something he didn’t telling the police

joe has been recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and starts acting strangely

I do love a good thriller /drama so Hope will be good

No bloody subtitles!

butterpuffed · 20/09/2022 13:16

I too think Joe doesn't have Parkinson's . Because Jack has diagnosed him ,he trusts [trusted] him and it's probably mind over matter causing the tremors.

More stuff about the queen’s funeral!

TheChosenTwo · 20/09/2022 21:02

Highlights of the highlights of the highlights…

lemonyanus · 20/09/2022 22:13

Interesting episode but fairly predictable. What will the twist be next week?

downtonupton · 20/09/2022 22:35

plumber def involved
Parkinsons will make him drop somethign vital at the last minute
Policewoman will believe him at some point and help against the wishes of policeman
Jack a red herring I think
Bobby and plumber brother I think - no more bog twist as such just frantic cat and mouse to catch/save/prove/arrest etc

TheChosenTwo · 20/09/2022 22:50

beard tells wife to go and pick up the daughter from school and take the plumber with him, but we don’t see them again this episode (I’m terrible with names on things like this!).
I’m surprised neither of the police seem to be in the least bit interested in what beard says, nor do they believe him at all, even with the evidence stacking up, they’re the worst thing about this!

TheChosenTwo · 20/09/2022 22:50

And beards dad was so lovely!

butterpuffed · 21/09/2022 08:14

I don't like the way the scenes are cobbled together ~ Jo and his wife were in their house arguing about him saying he was going to see Cara ~ then a split second later we hear Jo saying 'Oh Cara' and he was looking at her lying on the floor dead !

There doesn't seem to be much continuity , but I still want to catch the final episode next week 😅

Sophieleigh26 · 21/09/2022 09:03

I’m still confused - isn’t the wife pregnant with the other doctors baby?

TheChosenTwo · 21/09/2022 12:09

Yeah I’m not sure whose the baby is, she told Jack about it but not her husband and the husband hasn’t mentioned any doubt that it’s his.

lemonyanus · 21/09/2022 12:18

Joe seems to have not considered the possibility that Jack and his wife are shagging. He just thinks Jack is in love with his wife and set him up and the wife is innocent in it all. Maybe she is (but I bet she isn't)

TheChosenTwo · 21/09/2022 13:29

She’s been drinking wine. Not that you can’t drink when pregnant but I just think they wouldn’t put it on tv so casually as it’s a bit contentious.
i wonder if the daughter overheard her mum saying she’s late about something else and told her dad about it and now everyone including her is running with the idea that she’s pregnant because it’s a good smoke story…
or maybe she is pregnant and just fancied a glass of wine 😂

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/09/2022 19:16

Right finally seen with subtitles

Wife of beard looked shocked thst jack still cross they got together and thst he loves her

so I don’t think he had an affair or bsby is his

bAby is beards

told you all that jo was jack - not joe - even had jacks name in cast on e1

police crap at being detectives

wonder if plumber is bobbys big brother

scary that Bobby or Robert had been in her class for past few months

and then at his dad and step dad

loved the way dad gave him the car and his stash money 💕

it’s keeping me gripped

we then have inside man starting next Monday against last episode of this

parkrunner1977 · 21/09/2022 19:19

When Joe was with his wife at the house after Jack left he did say he knew about the baby, and she said something about feeling dizzy. It was a bit of a strange conversation as there was no emotion from him if it is his?? I don't think she had an affair with Jack as she seemed surprised when he said he still loved her.

Plumber deffo is Bobby's brother, and he is planning to do something to Joe's wife and the daughter.

I think the Police Detective is starting to think that Joe could be telling the truth but he is still the number 1 suspect for now.

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/09/2022 19:58

Yes police detective is now slowly believing jo

wonder if Bobby recognised his brother the plumber if it is his brother

OP posts:
Sophieleigh26 · 21/09/2022 20:31

bobby is the dad of the baby

itsgettingweird · 21/09/2022 20:47

I've been gripped by this.

I prefer 5 parters over 6 parters as I feel it build up quicker and 6 parters seem to get lost around episode 3/4 and come back for an ending.

This just seems to be going and going.

Never thought about plumber being related to Bobby.

Loved the twist this week and agree the detective seems to be thinking Joe is innocent now. I was quite surprised he was so insistent he was guilty from the start but I guess that's how you make psychological thrillers work and we all know the first suspects and characters aren't the ones who are guilty.

So on that note. Do we think it's Bobby doing it or not?

IconicKitty · 21/09/2022 20:51

Imo it seems Bobby is confirmed to be the murderer, and the conclusion will be why/how he did it. Maybe there will be a twist involving the plumber too.
